A grove of tall, thick, trees stretches far and wide, only a hint of sunlight pierces through the bottom. This is the Great Eastern Forest of Eulos, where the flora and fauna are lively and magical. Different species of plants and animals live inside this giant forest of natural paradise, away from the outside world. On the far side of the forest, shadows were running and rustling through the leaves and bushes, as if they were running away from something.
"They're gaining on us, boss!" said a bearded man panting and running.
"Then pick up the pace, you idiot! We're getting close to the border!" says the other man, who is wearing a red bandana and carrying a young girl on his shoulder, tied and muffled.
As they almost reached the end of the forest, a volley of arrows flew in front of them, obstructing their way. The three men stopped and looked behind and saw their pursuers on the top of the trees. They jumped on their front and locked their weapons at them. Five elven warriors pursued and stopped the three men from escaping with the captured elf girl.
"Put Lady Emila down and we may spare you lives!" The woman clad in green-leathered armor points her dagger toward the bandit boss. "If not, Then we'll be forced to take your life..." she gave them a terrifying gaze and the men started to tremble.
"W-what do we do now?! Boss?!" said the other bandit as he backed away a little. One of the elves shoots the bandit and it scratches his cheeks, and the bandit whimpers and falls on his knees. "Not. a single. move..." said the woman with glasses who shot the arrow.
"She's not the only one who's going shoot," said the one in the middle as she was about to throw her dagger at him.
The bandit boss grunts as he can't do something. But as he saw the elf's expression of anxiety, he grinned and grabbed the girl from his shoulder and locked her to his arms, treating her as a hostage.
"Yahahaha! Judging from your face, You think I would not do this?" He pulls out his dagger and points it near her neck. The other elves became anxious as well, lowering their weapons down, but not the one in the middle.
"Let her go, you coward!" her expression became tense.
"Haha! Call me what you want! But if I were you, you should know what to do unless you want your precious princess's neck to get stuck with my blade! The bandit boss laughs and his men follow laughing as well.
"hehe! you tell her, boss!"
"Y-yeah! you 'em!
The other bandits unsheathe their swords. The elves still holding their weapons, are irritated as they are facing an unexpected situation.
"Tch! You humans were all the same after all those years... You'll start another war between elves and humans! Another meaningless war!" she said as they still grinned.
"So what! It is not our problem, anyway! As long as got paid! And haven't you heard what happened lately?! said the Bandit Boss.
"What do you mean? And who hired you to do this?! You damn humans won't get away with this!" her expression got tenser as she gets close to the bandit boss with her daggers ready to stike.
"ah! ah! aah! My blade might prick her white, lovely skin, you know..." He draws his blade even closer and the tip touches her skin.
"What should we do, Captain?" said the elf clenching her fists, leaving her anxious, and her hand started to tremble.
"Yahaha! Since there's nothing to say, it's time to go, boys!" they turned around and started running to the side going close to the end of the forest.
"Damn it! Emila!" She loosens her bow and starts following them.
