You have got to be kidding me
How could I forget
Fadi's last name is Salib
I hear it everyday in registration at school
He looks slightly surprised to see me but quickly maintains his composure and goes back to his usual straight face expression
"Fadi here has already gotten a black belt, which is the highest color"
Master Park began to boast before slapping Fadi's back confidently
"Now boys show the girls into the studio, me and master park need to finalize a few things"
Master Kim says before walking away to the desk that sat in the back of the room which sat the receptionist
Me and Riley walk beside our newfound helpers inside
"Haha... this is... funny?"
I stammer, trying to break the silence between us
"What is?"
"I was just thinking about you"
I chuckle nervously
"You know cuz I wanted to join taekwondo as an opportunity to talk to him, and I was gonna ask you but I didn't have your number or anything, but your here anyways! so..."
Things became silent again for a brief moment
"Give me your phone"
"Hm? Why?" I question, clasping my phone to my chest dramatically
"So I can give you my number"
He rolls his eyes sarcastically
"Duh"
His sassiness makes me chuckle a bit
"Ok geez mr sassy mc-sass pants- here" I playfully scoff as I hand my phone to him
"Welcome to the studio!" Kaiden suddenly exclaims, dramatically bowing as if he just finished a play
Me and Riley follow him as he shows us around
"Now that we're done with the tour, I guess we just have to wait for Master Kim and Park"
Kaiden stretches and yawns before sitting down on the floor and signaling for us to do the same
We sat there for an hour before we started to get suspicious
"Thats weird, they should've been back a while ago" Kaiden sighs and scratches his head
*buzz*
Fadi takes his phone out his pocket and checks the notifs
"Ah, they left" He mumbles
"Huh?! What do you mean?!" Riley questions him in shock
"They left an hour ago, apparently Master Park found out about a new sushi restaurant and he dragged Master Kim along with him to try it out" he shrugged and sighed
"Hehe classic Master Park" giggled kaiden
"Well since we're already all here why not grab lunch together?"
Sweet! Another chance to spend more time with him
"Yeah that sound good" Riley answers and I agree
"Nah I shouldn't, Ill go back home" Fadi sighs and grabs his bag
"Cmonn man" Kaiden whines "It'll be funn!" He exclaims and puts his arm around Fadi's shoulder before whispering something I cant quite make out
"Hah, fine" he finally gives in
And with that kaiden happily jumps up and we make our way to the changing rooms to chanhe out of our doboks
We decide to go to a mall and get pizza
We even sat down to have ice cream after
We're all laughing, even Fadi, when suddenly
*ring ring*
"Ah hold on sorry let me take this" Kaiden apologizes before picking up his phone
We stay quiet as he responds to the other person with 'mhm's, 'uh-huh's, and nods that obviously weren't seen
"Okay I'll be right there" he sighs as he hangs up
"Turns out Master Park had a little too much to drink at the sushi restaurant and he left his keys at the studio" he scratched his nape
"Oh then you can stay here I'll go get them" Fadi immediately stands up and volunteers
"No no Fadi its fine I'll go" Kaiden winks as if hes hinting at something
"Sorry guys, lets all hang out again another time" he apologizes as he grabs his stuff and leaves
Ugh there he goes
"Hah whatever, curse your future husband for leaving us" Riley shakes her fist playfully, evoking a laugh out of me and a slight smile from fadi
*ring*
"Ah god dammit hold on" Riley takes out her phone a little annoyed
"Ugh turns out my dad's drunk too and my mom needs help taking care of him" she sighs once she hangs up
"Sorry guys, hate to be hypocritical but I gotta dip too" she face palms as she gets up from her seat
"It's fine Riley, I know how your father is" I reassured her, waving bye as she leaves
"So... Its just the two of us" I chuckle nervously
After Riley and Kaiden left we've just been eating our ice cream in silence
"Yeah..." He answers "Uhm I should go now, you came for Kaiden and now hes gone so..." He reasons as he begins to grab his things
I should be okay with this but for some reason my hearts telling me to stop him
"W-wait!" I grab the end of hist sweater just as he was about to scurry away
"This can be a good time to get to know each other a bit! If we're gonna work together may as well be on good terms right?"
He pauses for a brief moment before sitting back down
"Fine."
