"Princess..

Princess Yona...

Do you need to take a short break?"

I sit crouched down next to Yona in concern. She seems to be in a lot of pain, mentally and physically. I speak up in a quiet voice, "Y-Yona.. are you alright? Hak, I think we should sit down for a few minutes.."

I stare at Yona laying against the tree as I sit on my knees next to Hak. She looked utterly exhausted, I was quite worried. She must be hungry too, and thirsty. I was tired of walking too. I don't think I've had this much physical activity in a while.

"Did Min-soo.. die?" I look down at the ground, afraid of that answer myself. "I wonder.. will I die too? Will Soo-won.. kill you both too?" Hak immediately responds as I stay silent. "I will never hand my life over to that asshole."

"Don't die.. (Name).. Hak.. if you do, I won't forgive.. you.."

I ball my hands into fists on my lap, my nails digging into my palms as I furrow my brows in frustration. I can't stand to see her in this kind of mental state. I watch as she drifts off into a peaceful (?) slumber.

I jump at the feeling of Hak placing one of his hands on mine. I look over at him in surprise, but he only seems to be looking off into space, thinking out loud. "I still can't believe.. you left the princess' all alone.. you good for nothing king." He seems to be gently tracing his thumb on the back of my hand, causing a small blush to appear on my face. I space off into my own world, a blank look on my face while staring at Yona's sleeping form.

Emperor Il.. what am I supposed to do now..? I remember when I knew nothing of pain and misery, I miss those times with Soo-Won, Hak, and Yona. I can remember it..

like it was yesterday..

"Hak! Hey Hak!"

15-year-old Hak perks up at the sound of his name. "Hm?" The person who got his attention was none other than the head of the Wind Tribe, Mundok. He seems annoyed about something. "You brat. The meeting of the five tribes was today, and I told you that you had to attend as a member of the Wind Tribe, didn't I?" Hak seems ti be unaffected by this lecture. "So long as Lord Mundok, the head of the Wind Tribe and the 5th general of Kouka Kingdom attends the meeting..

that's all that matters."
"YOU STUPID BOY! CALL ME GRANDPA, NOT LORD MUNDOK!"
"YOU'RE BRINGING THAT UP HERE?! YOU AND I AREN'T RELATED BY BLOOD RIGHT?!"
"WHAT ABOUT BLOOD?! SOMETHING LIKE THAT IS POWERLESS AGAINST LOVE!"

King Il watches the two bicker. "Now now.. if a fight breaks out between General Mundok and his successor, Hiryuu castle will be blown away, won't it?" Hak seemed surprised at the Kings sudden appearance while Mundok bows down immediately. "Oh you don't have to bow."

"It's been a long time, Hak. It's lonely without you coming over to play at the castle like you did long ago."
"Well, it's not right for a commoner like me to come and go as I please."

The king seems happy as he speaks, "Nonsense, Yona seems very happy with (Name) all the time, but (Name) herself seems a little lonely without you too!"

"Hahaha! You bubbley liar."
"WHATS BUBBLEY?!"
"GAH!"

"THIS INSOLENT BRAT ISN'T MY CHILD ANYMORE!"
"I TOLD YOU WE AREN'T RELATED BY BLOOD!"

"Don't be violent towards him. I like that honestly of Hak's. Would you like a steamed bun?" Hak immediately holds out his hand. "So why don't you come live at the castle as the Princess' permanent bodyguard? I know they're both a bit difficult to handle especially when they get together, but-"
