Earn's POV
In her dreams, everything felt vivid, almost too real. Earn found herself in a serene, sun-soaked landscape - an idyllic beach, the kind that she had always longed to escape to. The waves gently lapped at the shore, the sky painted in hues of pink and orange as the sun began its descent. Fahlada was there, standing beside her. Her usual stoic expression softened by the warmth of the setting sun.
They were alone, just the two of them, the rest of the world fading into the background. In this dream, there were no threats, no responsibilities, just pure, unadulterated joy of being together. Fahlada smiled - a rare, genuine smile that made Earn's heart skip a beat.
As if drawn by some invisible force, Earn found herself stepping closer to Fahlada. The air between them seemed to thrum with an unspoken connection, a pull that she couldn't resist. Without a word, Fahlada reached out, her fingers brushing against Earn's cheek in a tender caress. The touch sent a shiver down Earn's spine, awakening feelings she had tried so hard to ignore in the waking world.
In the dream, there was no need to hide. Fahlada leaned in, her lips meeting Earn's in a soft, lingering kiss that made everything else melt away. It was gentle at first, almost hesitant, but then it deepened, becoming more urgent, more desperate as if they were trying to capture every moment they had together.
Earn's heart raced as the kiss intensified, their bodies pressing closer until there was no space left between them. She could feel the warmth of Fahlada's skin against hers, the way her hands roamed over her back, pulling her closer still. It felt so real, so right, that Earn forgot for a moment that it was just a dream. A dream that felt so real.
They tumbled onto the soft sand, the world around them fading into nothingness as they lost themselves in each other. Fahlada's hands were everywhere, exploring, caressing, leaving a trail of fire in their wake. Earn's breath hitched as Fahlada's lips moved to her neck, her touch setting her skin alight with desire. It was as if they had all the time in the world, and in this dream, they did.
But then, that sweet dream shifted. The warm beach and gentle waves dissolved. Replaced by a dark, foreboding forest. The air was thick with tension, and Earn found herself holding a gun, the weight of it heavy in her hand. Fahlada was beside her, her expression serious, her own weapon at the ready. They were no longer lovers on a beach, but partners on a mission, moving through the shadows with shared purpose. To get there out, alive.
Earn's heart pounded in her chest, adrenaline coursing through her veins as they moved in unison, their steps silent as they navigated the dark terrain. They were a team, perfectly in sync, their every movement coordinated without the need for words. It was as if they had done this a thousand times before.
Suddenly, a shadow moved in the corner of her vision, and Earn reacted instinctively, raising her gun and firing a shot. The figure crumpled to the ground, and Fahlada nodded approvingly, a brief flash of pride in her eyes. But there was no time to celebrate. More figures emerged from the darkness, and the air was filled with the deafening sound of gunfire.
They fought side by side, taking down the enemy with ruthless efficiency. But just as they were gaining the upper hand, something changed. Earn felt a sudden sharp pain in her chest, and she looked down to see an arrow lodged just above her heart. Her breath caught, panic flooding her senses as she realized the danger she was in.
But before the arrow could burrow deeper, hitting vital organs, Fahlada was there. With her cat-like reflexes, her hand snatched the shaft just in time. She yanked it out with a quick, precise movement, and Earn gasped in relief as the immediate danger passed. The wound was shallow, barely more than a scratch, but the shock of it left her shaken, as she was not a warrior like Lada.
