In which a young demigod must endure hardships and trauma for something that will be coming for her in the future. She must find herself and who she is during all this. But to be a hero comes with the price of pain.
She could hear the sounds of the waves coming and crashing to the shore it sounded nice, it was calming she breathed in the salty air and closed her eyes about to lay her head on the log behind her, when someone called "Azara" she turned around and saw her friend Ethan Nakamura waving and walking towards her.
she didn't get up she just waited until he made his way to her. "hey" he said "whats up" she said getting up from the ground once she got up and dusted herself off she turned to look at him and said "is there a reason you disturbed my peace?" he rolled his eyes and smiled "Chiron wanted to see you Annabeth's there too." she nodded "did anything happen? I don't think i've done anything in the past few days" he just shrugged "I don't know he just asked me to bring you"
Walking to the big house Ethan tried for a conversation but gave up once he realized she wasn't paying attention to his words and they just walked silently until they reached the front door and she waved Ethan a quick goodbye.
she saw Chiron and Mr D playing a game of pinochle and her friend Annabeth Chase or Annie as she had nicknamed her, stood nearby.
"Ah! Azara my dear." Chiron Greeted. Mr D just Looked at her and focused his attention back on the game in front of him. She rolled her eyes as she went over to go stand next to her friend and crossed her by arms wondering why she was even here because she definitely wasn't going to play a game against Mr D, She had much better things to do.
"is there a reason i'm here?" she asked. Chiron nodded "there's a new camper and i want you to meet him and show him around with Annabeth" She figured this was the boy who Annabeth had told her defeated the minotaur and the one who she had complained endlessly about his drool problem and that she had to clean it up 5 times.
"Mr. Brunner" a voice cried out the two of their heads turned towards the noise to reveal a boy and her friend grover walking towards them. He had jet black hair, tan skin a very well formed jawline and beautiful sea green eyes that she was sure she had seen somewhere before, he had the kind of face that told you he got in trouble often. He wore a plain T-shirt and dark blue jeans. She figured that he was around her and Annabeth's age. Chiron turned and smiled at the boy "Ah Percy, now we have four for pinochle."
Azara watched as he offered him a chair next to Mr.D who sighed as if he'd just been awarded a second place medal. "oh, I suppose i must say it. Welcome to camp half blood.there.Now don't expect me to be happy to see you.
"Annabeth, Azara." Chiron called
The girls both came forward and Chiron introduced them to each other. Percy, this is Annabeth she helped nurse you back to health. And this Is Azara she's going to help show you around. Girls, why don't you go check on his bunk? he's in cabin eleven for now. "sure" the girls said in unison.
before they started walking of to the cabin to go check for an extra bed Annabeth turned to Percy and said "you drool when you sleep" and started walking away as Azara laughed but quickly turned it into a fake cough and ran after annabeth.
Once they reached the cabin and stopped running Luke came out and greeted them "here for the new kid?" he asked. They nodded "got any beds left?" he shook his head "no beds but we have a space where he can put his sleeping bag" She'd always felt bad for the unclaimed and the ones who were claimed but didn't have a cabin they were singled out because either their parents didn't care enough to claim them, forgot or their parents were considered minor gods.
although she couldn't talk her mother was Khione goddess of snow and ice she was also considered a minor gods but for some reason she slept in the zeus cabin ever since she was 7 and came back from a field trip on Olympus, for all she knew her mother had probably blackmailed Zeus into letting her stay in the cabin. It seemed like something she would for her.
the two girls walked in and saw an area in the corner which looked like it could be suitable for a person. deciding that that's where they were going to put him they started heading towards the lake for a little bit until they had to show Percy his new 'home'.
