Elazar has just finished dressing himself up. Being a very special day, he had ordered his men to dress in grey linen tunic gowns with belts round their waists with a long linen head gear tied flowing down their backs, and on their feet, leather sandals. He needed them to look like normal Jews coming to celebrate this feast and so easily blend in with the crowd. To add more to their disguise, they each had long robes for cover just so their weapons are concealed.
"Leader, glad you could join us". Elazar addresses the special member who signals for him to come over, then whispers something in his left ear. The special one would not be joining them as always: his job is to coordinate from the sidelines and send them his financial support, hence the title -'leader'.
Elazar instructs his second in command to prepare the menas they take their oaths before departure:
"Brothers! I ask Yah for forgiveness and yours as we match for battle. May we gain the victory!!"
"Amin!" They shout
"Do not fear the Romans" he continues, just as our father -Moses told our ancestors, not to fear the Egyptians. Their spears and swords are nothing compared to heaven. Yeshua be with you!!"
"Amen! Amen!!". They hold on to each other's necks and form a circle dancing around jumping and singing.
The special leader signals for Elazar to dismiss the men, just as he kneels before the leader, receives a kiss on his forehead while Elazar kisses his feet before rising to his feet. As he's about to step out, it dawns on him that those two brothers have failed to turn up. He will deal with them later, but for now, the greater cause awaits.
