The day was sunny as usual, with bright rays of sunlight filtering upon the horizon showing off it's rays in it's usual rainbow fashion. High in all it's majesty stood the wall or what the Jews would like to call the second Solomon's temple (ofcourse, not that it was built by Solomon). It contained some structure to resemble a temple, like the court for the men of Israel, court of Israel, court of the gentiles, court of the priests, the burnt offering altar, the curtain, the Holy of Holies with the outside having the great southern staircase to the temple mount and Solomon's portico.
The Jews still travelled far and near in order to worship, offer sacrifices of animals and plants to God, and attend Jewish festivals like the Passover today. This holiday begins today the 15th in the Jewish month of Nisan and would end on the 21st.
I somehow have mixed feelings right now; we lost our mother two days ago, her burial was done immediately that day so we don't miss the Passover. The Lamb for the sacrifice came as a surprise when leader Gideon gave Jonas one of his lambs for use, Jonas being the eldest son and since the family had no parents particularly a father, he would handle that responsibility of handing over the lamb to the priest on behalf of our family. With our mother gone, I feel a heavy burden of how am going to convince these rebellious brothers to amend their ways and serve Christ the Messiah. A light hope bubbles within me of just how I can go about it and so determined to enjoy this feast, I raise my face, smile to the beautiful sky above and increase my pace as I move beside my brothers.
