Had I known I would be reborn in a novel, I would've spent more time with him.

[Birth of A Hero]. A novel that my husband would read when we had our days off. This novel focuses solely on a boy named Choi Han, a high school boy who is transported into a different dimension from Earth.

While this book is about his adventures to a heroic future, I preferred to read romance novels with their fair share of female leads from Korea who are given a second chance at life in a book. And it just so happened, my case was highly similar to this. I became part of the novel as a character who was just briefly mentioned.

Of course, I was shocked that I'd been reborn, but I quickly adapted to this new reality. After all, what could I do? My former body was already dead due to the aftermath of a car crash, and as much as I'd like to, I couldn't go back to the past.

I passed away with almost no regrets. The only thing I wish I could've changed would've been...

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, Rok Soo." A woman whispered, her hand caressing the cheek of her loved one. "...I'm sorry that I won't be by your side."

Ah, I shouldn't dwell on the past. The first encounter I had with my father was just briefly, almost like having a small conversation with your partner for a school project... only, you didn't know who your partner was.

"So, this is the child?" My father asked. Casting a side-glance towards me. "I think she looks a lot like you."

"Yes, but her scarlet eyes resemble yours." Mother replied with a sweet smile.

"[F/n]." My father suddenly blurted. "The name of that child is [F/n]."

That indifferent gaze he had towards me at the time, was almost as if he wasn't even staring at his daughter. It was clear to me at that moment, he was indifferent towards everyone, no matter who they may be.

"[F/n], my lovely pretty baby." My mother smiled, holding the chubby but tiny hands of mine. "You must hurry and grow quickly, and become a great Agriche."

It was at that moment, everything came into place.

The Black Agriche, a family who oversaw almost everything that hit ground bottom for crimes. It was a family that made a living by theft, fraud, trafficking drugs, poison, and killing people in cold blood if and when necessary. Everyone born into this family was a criminal, all of which who ruled the underworld.

'This... is such a drag.' I thought, letting myself get my diaper changed.

Since that day, seventeen years have passed. And within those years, a lot has changed. I took up learning swordsmanship that I decided to keep hidden, got a proper education fit for a child born into a noble family, and I even passed the "learning" system for the Agriche children.

After turning fifteen, I married the insignificant antagonist, of the novel; Cale Henituse, in hopes of not getting involved with anyone and living a calm and lazy life. A life people would call A slacker life.

I've been married to Cale for three years and a half, living my lavish and ideal life. That was until, my current predicament.

"You're not Cale Henituse. Are you?" I asked. Startling my so-called husband.

(It's been a while hasn't it... Miss me? The author of this book has finally reawakened.

My writing style has changed, and my grammar has gotten better. And after rewriting previous chapters I have finally found time to remake the prologue for this book. I'm happy to say that this book is no longer a "work in process" or a "teaser".)
