"DAD, I WAS THE one who brought her in. I want to know." I couldn't make out what the other voice said, so instead, I slowly opened my eyes and sat up. The room looked suspiciously like our Medical Space in my Academy."I- she's up!"
Before I could register anything, a blink of blue appeared in front of me and not even a second later so did a boy. He stood right in front of me, making me lean back as I watched him with wide eyes.
He had dark hair and brown eyes that eagerly assessed me. He was dressed in a blue, red uniform that reminded me of the one I had to wear back home, except mine was green and yellow.
"Five, get back from her at this moment!" A familiar voice called and I immediately snapped my head in the direction of its owner. Dad. I wanted to leap out from my bed and hug him, but my dad didn't approve of hugs and I am starting to think that he isn't even my parent.
"What is your name, girl?" He asked. I glanced back to the boy who still stood much more closer to me than I liked. Reginald, or a version of him, noticed that. "Five out, now." Five, that was his name, or should I say number. He glanced at me, before begrudgingly taking a step and another blue flash appeared, with him disappearing after it.
I stared at where he had gone in awe. Could he teleport? "Who are you and how did you get here?" I blinked turning to my not dad. I opened my mouth and closed it, thinking over the words.
"I think I am your daughter, from another universe, Priscilla Hargreeves," I said. He eyed me suspiciously and I sigh, tucking in one of my strands of hair behind my ear, "In my universe, you formed an institution called the Lighthouse Academy, I was your number Zero. You called me that because I was your daughter biologically and because we thought I wasn't gifted with any abilities."
He raised his brow, "But you are?"
I nodded, "For all of my life I thought I wasn't... but then something happened and now I think I can move through the fabric that separates universes. Because the one I was in before and this one, are similar to the one I came from, except not."
"Can you control these abilities?" I shook my head to answer. He grasped his chin, eyeing me. Finally, he stood up. "You can stay here, until I say otherwise. Five is quite eager to meet you and he shall show you around."
Before I could thank him or do anything else, he stood up to walk out of the room. As he opened the door, I was met with seven pairs of eyes. "Everyone to their places quickly, except Five. You show her around." They quickly fell in line and scurried off as their dad told them, but not before sparing more glances at me.
But my lips were slightly parted as I followed one of the boys with my eyes. He looks exactly like number six, my brother Diego. But before I could think about it more, the boy from earlier, Five came to stand in front of me.
"Your name is Priscilla," His words came out more like a statement rather than a question. I raised my brow, not exactly knowing where this was going. He watched me more before turning away and heading out of the room. "Are you coming or not?" He shouted and I quickly hopped off the bed.
As we walked I eyed the halls of the building. It looked weirdly like my old home, but the minuscule details reminded me that it was not. "You can move through the fabric of the universe," He started talking again.
I silently crossed my arms, waiting for him to continue his question. He noticed that I wasn't saying anything and said, "Does that mean you can time travel?" I simply pursued my lips. I did that a lot, be silent around people. Amelia told me that it was probably because of my anxiety, but I just generally don't like to talk to people I'm not familiar with.
He turned to me, "I know you speak. I heard you talking to my dad. So, answer me."
I obviously ignored him. I heard him mumble something frustrated before he shot me a sharp glance, "You know, the silent treatment only works if people actually care about what you have to say. But hey, you do you."
I bit my lip glaring at him, I wanted to give him a piece of my thoughts, but that would mean that he would win. So instead, I calmed my expression and flashed him a sarcastic smile.
He stared at me for a few moments, as if waiting for me to make a retort, but when I didn't, he rolled his eyes, continuing to walk. After a flight of stairs and a few doors, we stopped at the farthest one.
"This is Vanya's room. She has an unused bed, so you'll share."
Nodding and went to knock on the door, but he grabbed my wrist, making me face him. "Why won't you talk to me?" He stared at me and instead of replying, I pried my hand from his and opened the door, shutting it loudly behind him.
I noticed a girl, Vanya probably, staring at me with wide eyes and I slumped my shoulders, "Sorry," I mumbled. "Your brother is annoying." To that she gave me a smile and hopped off her bed, introducing herself.
"I'm Priscilla," I say taking her hand. The brunette in front of me blushed, saying, "I know, we heard when you talked to our dad. Is it true that you didn't have powers before?"
I scratched my neck, "Yeah... I don't really know how that happened. What about you?"
The tips of her lips turned downwards, "I don't have any." It clearly bugged her, so I nudged her shoulder, "Hey, maybe you have a situation like me. You know, hidden crazy powers and all that."
That thought seemed to change her mood and we sat down, her showering me with questions and then apologising, with another blush. "It's fine, I don't mind, I have a lot myself. Just one request, don't tell your brother."
She raised her brows, "You mean Five?" I nodded and Vanya grinned, agreeing to that idea, "Okay."
I grabbed one of her pillows, fidgeting with it and thinking over my question, "So, why don't you call him by his real name, or does he not have one?"
