A/N: Ive decided to just keep the chapters on the shorter side bc I dont want to push for more content each chapter if it has an easy ending. Plus im pushing these chapters out relatively quickly so-

Also I realized I changed the writing style partway through chapter 3 and im not changing it all.

Puffer's POV:

"What door are we at?" Puffer asked, digging through a desk drawer.

"26" Grizzy replied, fiddling with a flashlight he had found.

"This place is... Depressing" Matt frowned, looking around the repeating rooms.

"Agreed" Puffer sighed, pushing through the next door. "Oh shit, Woah" He looked at the walls, which were replaced with large windows. The water outside dark, barely anything was visible.

"Creepy" Grizzy mumbled.

"What is.. That?" Matt questioned, Puffer turned to see what he was looking at. A faint green glow came from the distance, and he squinted to try and see better. Immediately a pain erupted in his head, and he gasped, moving his gaze to the ground as his hand flew to his forehead.

"Ow- what the fuck?" Grizzy seemed to be having the same effects, as was Matt. Puffer's gaze was then turned back up, and he was met with dozens of eyes. More pain shot through his head and he screamed, turning away. Almost immediately his head was turned back to the creature. He was being forced to look at it, and it was painful, very painful. He couldn't see his friends, but by the pained grunts and noises he could hear they seemed to be in as much pain as him.

"Fuck- don't look at it" Puffer instructed, forcing his head away as he tried to keep moving.

"No shit" Grizzy yelled, walking after him. Puffer reached the next door first, and he pushed it open. As soon as the next room was visible the monster was gone. Puffer's shoulders dropped as he relaxed, the pain subsiding. He finally looked back at the others. Grizzy was sweating, leaning against the wall and breathing heavily. Matt was clearly shaken, practically laying on the ground, but they all seemed to be fine.

"What the hell was that?" Matt frowned, finally sitting up after a few moments.

"Oh good, you're alive" Grizzy teased, and Matt shot him a glare.

"I hate this place" Matt sighed, sitting against a crate.

"We'll be out soon, hopefully" Puffer mumbled the last bit, looking at the ground. The lights flickered.

"Does that mean something?" Grizzy asked, standing up quickly. Screaming filled the halls.

"Get in the lockers" Puffer instructed, rushing over to one. He opened the doors and climbed inside. The other two did the same with their own. The screaming got closer and Puffer tried to see out of the thin gaps in the locker. The screaming passed, as did some sort of creature. Puffer let out a small breath he hadn't realized he had been holding, until a green gas began to fill the locker.

He coughed, the gas going into his lungs and he pushed himself out of the locker, falling onto his hands and knees. He hacked and spat, the gas leaving an awful taste on his tongue. He looked over and saw his friends in a similar state. The gas lingered around them before disappearing.

"What is wrong with this place?" He heard Matt mumble before a series of gags came from the trio.

~~~~
Puffer picked himself up and wiped his mouth on his sleeve. The room was beginning to stink, and he scrunched his nose.
"Can we keep moving, please?" He asked, not turning to face the other two. Grizzy agreed and shaking stood up, leaning on the wall for support.
"Fuck..." Matt groaned.
"I hope we dont come across that again... Whatever I still had left in my stomach from before we got taken is completely gone now" Puffer sighed, walking to the next door and opening it. The other two followed behind him and mumbled agreements.
"There's data everywhere" Grizzy acknowledged, picking up another flash drive and putting it in his pocket.
"You think they wouldn't just leave this stuff out in the open" Puffer said, opening a few drawers and collecting the items.
"This door is locked" Matt said with a frown "We need a keycard I think" Puffer turned to look at him and then the door.
"Oh, well it's in this room probably- where's Grizzy?" He cut himself off as he realized the absent of his friend.
"Over... Here..." He heard the bear call. Puffer walked to where his voice had come from, a side room. He entered it and immediately noticed what he was staring at.
"What the hell" Puffer mumbled, staring at the large glass cells, which were shattered and the liquid inside them was on the floor.
"I hope we don't run into whatever got out of those" Matt said, causing Puffer to shoot him a look.
"Thanks for jinxing us dumbass" He frowned.
"I found the keycard" Grizzy said, snapping the two's attention to their younger friend. The group walked over to the door and swiped the keycard. The door buzzed and opened, revealing a large room. Instead of the white and blue walls of the previous rooms it was more saturated, and instead of the concrete floor they were met with pathing. It looped around a patch of grass in the middle of the room, a large tree in the grass... And in the grass were multiple statues made of vines that resembled people.
"That's creepy" Puffer mumbled.
"I dare to touch one" Grizzy grinned, pushing Matt forward. The shorter rolled his eyes and approached the humanoids. He reached his hand out to touch the closest one, and in doing so stepped on the grass. The heads of the vine creatures snapped towards him, and he tried to pull his hand away, taking a step back. A viney hand was wrapped around his wrist from the closest one, and a crunch was heard as it easily shattered his bone. A scream left his lips as he fell backwards and off the grass.
Puffer quickly rushed to his friends aid and knelt beside him.
"What the fuck?" He whispered, grabbing his friends hand lightly and feeling it in his hand. Matt whimpered softly and a hiss left his lips.
"I- Ow.. Puffer- ow careful" He mumbled, a small, breathy laugh leaving his lips. "Thats..." He stared at his wrist as tears welled up in his eyes. His breathing became heavier and quicker and he brought his knees up to his chest.
Puffer looked up at Grizzy, who was frozen in place, just staring down at Matt, his gaze ever so often returning to the grass.
"Matt, hey," Puffer spoke softly, panic still in his brain, but he was trying to calm down so he could help his friend.
