My eyes shoot open. I quickly sit up and scan the unfamiliar room. Where...am I? I look down, anticipating blood, but all I see is a white, unstained dress. I feel around my body, not feeling an ounce of pain. Was I in a coma? There's no I can heal that fast... I get off the table, stumbling in the white heels as I leave the room. Where is this place..? And where is Se-yeon? I quickly exit the building, stepping into the rain as I look around. I shield my head as I run towards a couple, staying behind them as they walk under an umbrella. The woman has a bob and wears a white dress and white heels like mine. The tall man is wearing a black suit with a black cap.

"Hey. I'm not usually the clingy type, but taking off with someone else's shirt is considered theft...just so you know," She says to the man. The couple stops walking and stares ahead. Confused, I look at what they are looking at, stopping behind them. Two caskets were being carried out of the funeral home along with Se-yeon's and my portrait. I freeze in disbelief. Am I...dead? But how could that be when I'm standing right here?

"Se-yeon...?" I push the two of them, dashing towards the caskets. "Se-yeon...This...This can't be..." I cry, sobbing into my hands.

One of the mourning men in a black suit pushes me away. "Ma'am, you can't do this here."

I sob harder when I make eye contact with Se-yeon's father. "Uncle, it's me! It's Yu-mi...Why...Why is my picture here? No, this can't be. Uncle, I'm not dead! W-Where's Se-yeon?" I grab his arms, crying. He pushes me off.

I was an orphan. My parents died at the hands of a serial killer when I was 16.  Not knowing what to do without them, I took on multiple part-time jobs and studied hard to fulfill their wishes. After being friends with Se-yeon, her parents quickly accepted and fed me. They gradually filled my heart with love. They were like my second parents.

"No matter how close you are to Yu-mi and Se-yeon, your pain cannot be more than ours. Someone get her out of here!"

"No, Uncle! What are you talking about? I'm Yu-mi. I'm not dead! I'm right here!" Suddenly, the woman in the white dress I saw earlier pushes me aside and cries as she throws herself over the casket. "What's going on?! Why am I dead?! I'm not dead!" I look at the woman in disbelief.

What is she saying?

I watch her as she grabs Se-yeon's mother, sobbing. "Mom! Why are you crying? I'm right here! Stop crying!"

Mom?

Se-yeon's father peels her off. He looks at the two of us in anger. "Stop creating a scene! Hurry up! Load the caskets!" I wipe my tears, confused as to why this woman is pretending to be Se-yeon. I follow them as they load the caskets into the hearses. The woman continues crying out 'Mom' and 'Dad', trying to stop them from loading the caskets.

Se-yeon's dad moves her aside one last time. "Move over!" She stumbles before looking at herself in the car window's reflection.

I walk over to her and grab her arm. "Who are you? Why are you pretending to be Se-yeon?" I look at the car window and see an unfamiliar face looking back. I drop her arm and touch my face. "W-Wait...Why...do I look like that?"

do I look like that?"
