At this time, the innkeeper yawned again, looking drowsy, but when he saw the group of people with fierce expressions, he quickly covered his mouth.

Lu Saihu gritted his teeth and said, "I'll go get him!"

He waved his hand toward the group.

Seven or eight people rushed up the stairs, but halfway up:

"Ah—"

A cry of pain was heard, and someone fell backward.

One by one, the others stumbled, crying out in agony.

"Thump, thump, thud!"

Screams filled the air as they rolled and crawled down, writhing on the ground.

Lu Saihu, who was behind them, couldn't dodge in time and was knocked down by the people in front, trampled upon. As he grabbed the railing, he was electrocuted, his whole body trembling, eyes rolling back.

The leader stood up in horror and saw that Lu Saihu's hand was on the railing, his head tilted, clothes emitting white smoke, with a sizzling sound, his body convulsing.

"Help him!"

But no one dared to move, each one trembling and speechless.

"Bang!"

Lu Saihu's head fell, and he tumbled down the stairs.

The leader angrily questioned the innkeeper, "What the hell is going on?"

In a corner, Alai observed, chuckling, "Hehe, you're all soaking wet; there's no way you could escape my high-voltage electricity."

The commotion was so loud that everyone in the inn opened their windows, craning their necks to see what was happening.

The innkeeper hurriedly shouted, "Everyone! The security patrol is here for a routine check, it has nothing to do with you, please don't look around or come out, just go back to sleep."

Hu San quickly added, "Everyone, we've discovered a thief hiding in this inn, please don't panic, don't move around, and just go back to sleep!"

At this point, one of the men who had regained consciousness shouted in fear, "The stairs, they're electrified!"

The innkeeper replied indifferently, "Electrified?"

"Aren't the chandeliers in the hall all lit up?"

Everyone looked around.

Someone said, "Yeah, there's no power outage, right?"

Hu San, realizing what was happening, explained to the leader, "That kid installed a hunting trap on the stairs."

"Really?"

The leader, trying to stay calm, said, "So the kid is quite cunning, he knew we were coming?"

Hu San noticed the wires on the stair railing and came up with an idea. He ordered the innkeeper, "Get me some pliers."

The innkeeper, not daring to delay, quickly found some pliers in the kitchen's tool cabinet and handed them to him.

Hu San carefully went up the stairs, cutting the wires one by one, following them to the trap, and then snipping the electrical wire. He cautiously carried the trap and threw it in front of the leader, saying, "This is what that brat used to nearly kill me at the hospital and again at the Lei family cemetery."

Alai, hidden nearby, observed everything clearly, thinking, "So what if you know? Let's see if you can guess what's coming next."

The leader looked at the severely injured Lu Saihu and the others lying on the ground, groaning incessantly, and ordered, "Get some people to take them to the hospital in my car immediately."
