𝐑𝐔𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 along the BGC Greenway Park to incept investigating‚ wearing my plain black edgy detailing tracksuit‚ I started roaming the place.

It is not supposed to be my job anymore, but having everything in my hand would help me keep corroborating evidence.

I was trying to follow that certain person when something in my instincts sensed the presence of another certain someone. I paused and felt my surroundings.

I pretended to be sitting on a bench next to a tree while feeling the area and quietly looking about for whoever it might be.

“Hey‚” isang itim na sapatos ang bumungad sa harap ko.

Tiningala ko lamang ito‚ showing my necklace on his hand‚ “If I’m not mistaken‚ this necklace is yours‚ Miss.” He said. He’s now in companion with his peers.

I started to make my way down the street. I was unaware that I had forgotten to thank the man who had found my necklace. Most likely, there are lot of chances for that. It's a small world after all.

“Goodness‚ bro! Is she some kind of tongueless girl?” I heard someone mumbled‚ freakin’ asking for some appreciation.

“𝐈𝐓’𝐒 absolutely and visibly obvious.” I sigh‚ I leaned my back on the sofa and let it rest for a while.

“Hindi ba’t halata naman? They’re averting people’s attention into this new case for them to be able to forget this more significant crime happened almost a decade ago!” I irritatingly shouted pertaining to Mayor Flores’ case which I considered trivial to stave off people minds from being engaged in Laxamana-Salazar’s Murder Case happened few years ago.

“Calm yourself‚ Riella. Remember‚ you’re almost half of firing that biggest case to bomb everything.” Xenathrine tries to comfort me‚ she’s my one and only close friend. She’s an engineer‚ a one call away friend of mine. I never trusted to anyone since that day but I found and shared understandings and empathy with her.

“Jeez‚” I’m still in the midst of finding that man little by little‚ I can’t fathom to think of pursuing other cases just to play as how dirty they started the game.

A genuine smile drew on her lips‚ “Pasasaan pa’t mahahanap mo rin ang hustisya.” She uttered assuring that in most perfect time‚ I’ll get what I wanted since then.

I know‚ I can‚ but there are still plenty of what if’s rambling around my head. “That time...the entire freaking universe abandoned me‚ Xena.” I heard disapproval from her tone.

“Avoid thinking excessively‚ Riel. I believe in all your capabilities‚ justice is yet to come.” She said.

I received a text message from Police Officer Mercado‚ an update about our investigation. Agad akong nagpaalam sa aking kaibigan at mabilis na tumungo sa Criminal Investigation Detection Unit kung saan ay nagtatrabaho ang private police officer na tumutulong sa paglutas sa kasong iniimbestigahan ko.
