MAX WAS PACING UP AND down the apartment and it was honestly getting on Daniels nerves. He had already been freaked over the fact that his sister was still not home and Max's nerves was putting Daniel on edge.

"Mate, I swear-" he took a deep breath "If you don't stop pacing-" Max didn't listen to a word he said and instead wipped his head around at the sound of the door opening.

Heidi walked in with a defeated look. "The bar was just about to close when I went in. She wasn't in there."

Max sighed and ran his hand through his hair in frustration. Daniel just glared at him as if blaming him for the fact that Olivia was still not home. "What?" He spat at his friend. "What do you mean 'What', Max? You were supposed to pick her up!"

Max scoffed, "So it's my fault?" Daniel rolled his eyes. "Let us all just take a deep breathe. Has anyone tried calling her?"

"Daniel said he did."

Daniel furrowed his brows, "I thought you said you were going to call her?"

Heidi rubbed her hands over her face in frustration. She wipped her phone out and rang Olivia's number.

"Liv?"

Max stood up straighter. "Where are you?" Olivia said something on the other line and Heidi slumped her shoulders in relief. "As long as your fine," she gave both Max and Daniel pointed looks. "Let us know when your on your way." The two said their goodbyes and Heidi headed straight for her bed. "Men are absolutely useless sometimes." She muttered to herself.

MAX AWAKE EARLY THAT morning to the sound of the door opening. He immediately sat up and walked towards the front door.

There he saw Olivia wispering to someone who was behind the door and giggling at something they said. He could feel his blood boiling just a little at how nonchalant she was.

Olivia said goodbye to Alister and closed the door. As she turned she was met with the sight of Max Verstappen. He was dressed in his sweet pants and a black top. His arms were crossed in front of him and he held an unimpressed look on his face.

"Hey?" She greeted with an air of confusion. "Who was that?" Olivia furrowed her brows at his tone but shrugged it off. "A friend."

"The one from the bar?"

Olivia pulled a face, not getting why he was so worked up. She had been communicating with Heidi and Dan all night and had sent them updates every once and awhile. So it wasn't as if she just didn't tell anyone where she was.

"What's it to you?" Her tone sounded challenging and it honestly ticked Max off even more. "You don't know this guy, Olivia! You've met him, what...once?" Olivia rolled her eyes and pushed passed him. Max gently pulled her back, "I'm still talking, Ricciardo."

"Max, it's late and you have a race tommorow. Let's just drop it and get some sleep."

Max released her arm from his hold and made his way towards the couch. "What are you doing?" She questioned. Max gave her a confused look and pointed at the couch. "Going back to bed?"

She looked like she wanted to say something put stopped herself. "What?" His tone now more gentle compared to how he was speaking before.

"Nothing..." She trailed off.

Max gave her a pointed look and she sighed. "You can sleep with me if you want." Max gave her a cheeky smirk, "Didn't think you were the type to move that quickly, Livie."

Olivia's cheeks heated up in both embarrassment and agitation. "Nevermind." Max couldn't help but laugh at her reaction.

"I was kidding!"

Max pulled her back, "You're so easy to piss off." Olivia rolled her eyes, "And your insanely annoying." Max sent her a wink and they both headed for her room.

Olivia had grabbed a change of clothes and went to change in the bathroom. Max took his time to finally look around her room. (He was nosey, sue him.)

His eyes landed on a picture of him and Olivia that was stuck on her dressing table mirror. It was taken the day Max had signed for Toro Rosso. Max could be seen blushing slightly at the fact that Olivia was stood so close to him. Next to him was Sebastion and Daniel. On Olivia's right stood Kvyat.

Max laughed at how young they all looked. Max didn't know it then, but that was the day his feelings for Olivia slowly started to flicker alight.

"We were so tiny." Max didn't even jump when she stood next to him. His head slowly turned to look at her. He admired every inch of her face. The tiny mole that rested on her cheek that you wouldn't even notice unless you looked hard enough. The way each feature just seemed to compliment the other perfectly.

"Beautiful."

"What?" Olivia asked not having heard what he said. Max's eyes widened and he looked away. "I just asked if your ready for bed?"

Olivia nodded and headed towards the left side of the bed. She climbed under the covers and Max did the same.

But to Max's surprise, Olivia snuggled closer to him. Feeling his body tense, Olivia quickly pulled away, "Did I make it weird?" Max softly chuckled at her reaction. He shook his head and pulled her back.

Olivia soon relaxed in his hold and buried her face in his neck.

It doesn't mean anything. Many friends cuddle. Cuddling doesn't have to be romantic. Olivia tried to convince herself as she slowly drifted of to sleep.
