A year had passed since Kamika and Karthik's friendship blossomed. They were now the golden duo of the school, excelling in every aspect. But little did they know, their skills would soon be put to the test in a completely new way.
Everything was going smooth and normal until one day, the Principal summoned them to her office, looking concerned. "I need your help with a sensitive matter. A fight broke out in one of the washrooms, and I want you both to investigate and find a solution. Nashaita and Karan, students of class 6 are involved, and I trust your judgment."
***************
Kamika and Karthik exchanged curious glances, knowing well about how these two students were. They were led to an empty classroom where Nashaita and Karan waited nervously. Nashaita's cheek bore a red mark, while Karan's arm had a visible cut. The atmosphere was tense, with both students avoiding eye contact.
With their exceptional communication skills, Kamika and Karthik began questioning the pair. "What happened?" Kamika asked gently, her voice soothing the tension. Nashaita explained how Karan had made a snide comment about her friend, leading to a heated argument and eventually, the physical altercation.
Karan nodded in agreement, admitting his mistake. "I didn't mean to hurt her, but she pushed me first," he added, his voice laced with regret. Kamika and Karthik listened attentively, piecing together the events.
After a thorough discussion, they came up with a fair solution. "If you both don't behave and respect each other for the next month, you'll be transferred to different schools with a remark on your Leaving Certificate for physically abusing a student," they said in unison.
Nashaita and Karan looked at each other, then back at Kamika and Karthik, nodding in agreement. The tension in the room dissipated, replaced by a sense of resolution. They both told the principal to keep a Leaving Certificates ready if the 6th graders don't behave well. She quickly agreed and thanked them for their excellent work, impressed by their maturity and problem-solving skills. "You two are true leaders, and I'm proud to have you in our school." Kamika and Karthik smiled, knowing they'd made a positive impact on their school.
