I looked at my grandmother, who had hesitancy plastered on her face at the prospect of my reaction and the others. I couldn't believe what she just told me, and hence I was forced to question her again, "Seriously?"

Dadi pressed her lines in a thin line, and looked at the surprised yet amused faces of my family, hopefully missing my disdained one and answered, "Haan Ari, Richa ji ka abhi call aaya tha mujhe. Unhone kaha hai Kabir really liked you, and uski haan hai is alliance ke liye. He wants to meet you again."
My anger and frustration were at the peak hearing her, but what surpassed everything else was curiosity. Curiosity of why he wants to marry me? Why he is so eager to come back into my life once again? What are his intentions this time?
Along the lines of these questions, were the words and guidance of Mumma and Dadda they shared to me last night. I asked Dadi, "Aapne unhe kaha nahi ki Arina ne na kaha hai?"

I nearly groaned in frustration when Ivaan joked, "Di, aisa kya jaadu kiya aapne pehli meet mein, ki banda itna obsessed ho gya hai?"
My eyes narrowed at the joke, and seeing my siblings laugh like hyenas around me. Roohan too jumped in the camaraderie with Ivaan, "Are, 2 ghante hi bitaaye hai na abhi to. Di ke sath ek hafta bita ne de, apne aap bhaag jayega darr ke."
My jaw dropped hearing him say that, and I nearly spilled my little secret – that that man was my boyfriend for eight long months and I absolutely DIDN'T scare him off for that long!
