It's the next morning and I try to wake Amélie up by gently kissing her cheeks.

"Good morning sleepyhead", I whisper to Amélie.

"Good morning pretty"

"How'd you sleep?", she asks.

"Never slept better, how about you?"

"Best night of sleep I've had in a while actually. Couldn't have had anything to do with a certain girl who tired me out last night could it?"

Amélie laughs. Her smile makes me blush.

"Last night was really fun", Amélie tells me.

I smile against her skin, placing another kiss on it. I wrap my arms even tighter around her body, pressing myself against her, "It was a lot of fun. You're quite... Skillful"

Amélie chuckles.

I look at my phone and notice I've got several missed calls from my team, "Shit"

"What?"

"Ugh they're going to kill me. My team's probably in complete panic because I ditched the fitting last night"

"Just tell them you had to hide from paparazzi, went to a friends house but the paparazzi didn't leave until you fell asleep?", Amélie tries to reassure me.

I stay silent for a moment, thinking whether sounds that sounds believable or not.

"Well, I guess I can use that as an excuse. They're still going to be pissed at me but it's okay. Thanks for the suggestion baby", I say as I start texting my team back.

"Are you hungry?", she asks.

"Yes. Do you have anything to eat?"

"I'll make us some breakfast"

"Thank you. I'll go clean myself up", I press a kiss against her forehead and walk to the bathroom.

All I could think about while being in the bathroom, was last night. Everything just felt so right. Amélie really is one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen. And she really knows what she's doing.

"Breakfast is ready", I hear Amélie yell from the kitchen.

I walk towards the delicious smell of french toast. As I enter the kitchen, I see Amélie standing in her lingerie which made my heart skip a beat.

"God that smells heavenly, I'm so hungry"

She sets down my plate, "Here, sit down"

I take a bite, "Swear to god you're perfect"

Amélie laughs, "Is it that good?"

"I've never had such delicious french toast. Maybe it's just because I'm eating french toast in France, with a beautiful French lady"

Amélie lets out a loud laugh, "You're hilarious", she also takes a bite, "I'm guessing you have to leave soon?"

"Unfortunately yes. I'm meeting my team in an hour. Hoping they don't kill my ass"

"Are you also leaving France soon?"

"I'm here for a while actually. I still have a lot of press to do after the gala tonight. Will be here for probably another week"

"Good, give me your number then"

"Bet", I pull out my phone and Amélie leaves her number in it, "Just let me know when you're home, I'll stop by any time"

We finish our breakfast and I gather my stuff.

"Alright pretty, see you soon?", she asks.

"Definitely. I'll call you soon okay?", I give her a kiss and leave her apartment.

I felt kinda sad that I had to leave her apartment.

As I step out of Amélie's apartment and into the cool morning air, I can't help but smile to myself, replaying every moment of last night in my head. I quickly call for a ride, knowing I'm cutting it close with my team. They're definitely going to be pissed, but the thought of Amélie's laugh still echoes in my ears, softening the stress that's creeping in.

The ride to the studio is too short. I barely have time to collect my thoughts before I'm standing in front of the entrance, bracing myself for the inevitable storm. I push the door open and immediately spot my manager, Kelly, pacing back and forth with her phone pressed against her ear. The second she sees me, she hangs up and rushes over, a mix of relief and frustration all over her face.

"Billie! Where the hell have you been? We've been calling you all night!", Kelly's voice is sharp, and I can tell she's been stressing hard.

I give her my most innocent smile, "I'm so sorry, Kelly. It was wild last night. Paparazzi were everywhere, and I had to lay low. Ended up crashing at a friend's place and they wouldn't leave. I eventually fell asleep, totally forgetting last night's fitting."

Kelly raises an eyebrow, clearly skeptical, but she doesn't push further. "Well, we've got a lot to do today, so let's just focus on making sure everything's ready for tonight's event. But seriously, Billie, you can't just disappear like that again."

"I know, I know. Won't happen again, promise," I say, trying to sound sincere. She gives me a look that says she's not entirely convinced, but she lets it slide. For now.

As I head towards the dressing room to start getting ready, I feel a tap on my shoulder. Turning around, I see my brother Finneas, leaning against the doorframe with a knowing smirk on his face.

"Hey, troublemaker. What's this I hear about you ditching the fitting last night?" he teases.

I roll my eyes, "I told you, the paparazzi were crazy. Had to hide out."

He chuckles, but there's something in his eyes that tells me he's not buying the story. "Uh-huh. Sure. And this 'friend' you crashed with, they wouldn't happen to be the reason you've got that goofy grin on your face, would they?"

I can't help but laugh, realizing how transparent I must be. "Okay, fine. I met someone last night. Her name's Amélie, and she's... She's incredible, Finn. Like, we just clicked, you know?"

Finn's smirk softens into a genuine smile. "Sounds like you had a pretty special night."

"Yeah, I did. We talked for hours, and everything just felt so easy with her. I can't stop thinking about her."

He nods, understanding. "Well, you deserve that, Billie. I'm happy for you. But maybe try not to ditch work again, even for a cute French girl."

I laugh, nudging him playfully. "I'll try my best. But seriously, she's something else. I think I might actually like her."

Finneas' smile widens. "Then don't let this be just a one-time thing. You're in France for another week, right? Make the most of it."

His words resonate with me, and I feel a surge of excitement. "Yeah, you're right. I'm definitely going to see her again. Maybe tonight, after the gala."

"Just don't forget to keep your head in the game for now. We've got busy days ahead," he reminds me, but there's no real worry in his voice.

I nod, feeling more focused now. "Don't worry, I'm on it. But thanks, Finn. You're the best."

He gives me a quick hug before heading out of the dressing room, leaving me alone with my thoughts. I glance at my phone, noticing a new text from Amélie:

Can't stop thinking about you. Hope your day goes well. See you soon?

Same baby. Tonight, after the gala?

I'll be waiting for you. Good luck tonight pretty.

Can't wait, thanks

As I start getting ready, I can't help but feel like this trip to France is going to be a lot more memorable than I ever expected.
