Naira's Birthday

Naira's Pov
Today is my birthday !! Yes!! I am so happy. But its 7 AM and not a single person came to wish me. I am really pissed off .

"Happy birthday!!!" Out of nowhere Everyone barged into the room. They shouted hurting my ears.

"Aap sabko yaad tha?" I asked innocently and they smiled .

"Kaise yaad nhi hota...tu humari bachi naira..." Mumma said and i hugged her. I then hugged surbhi and anjali.

"Chal Babe jaldi se ready ho ja aaj hum bahut maze karenge" Surbhi said to me and i nodded. I have to get ready. I dont know but somewhere i wished kartik had wished me . I got up but saw a rose with a card kept on my table. I went towards it and unknowingly smiled. I opened the card and read it.

"Happy birthday Naira , Tum ek saal aur badi ho gai....I am sorry sayad mera koi hakh nhi banta tumhe iss tareh wish karne ka but still i couldn't  stop myself. Naira...I miss you"

I smiled after reading the card and i was happy that he remembered my birthday. I got an idea and took out a pen . I wrote something on back of the card.

Kartik's Pov
Today is Naira's Birthday. Its the day i was waiting for. I wanted her to feel special on this day but i cant do much because she doesn't want to talk.

I just wrote birthday wish on a card and kept on her table early morning with rose. I wish she had read the message.

Then , I saw Naira coming from her room . She saw me and then started walking towards me. I think she didn't like my act . I shouldn't have kept the card near her table.

She is angry i think. Now i am gone

"Goodmorning" She said with a smile and it felt different.  She is not upset with me but she looks happy.
I sighed in relief and god how beautiful she looks. I was literally lost in her beauty for a moment when she snapped her fingers infront of my eyes.

"See you" She said giving me the card i kept for her and walked away. What!! Thats it. She didn't even said a word  about the card and i then realised she might have felt uncomfortable.

I then opened the card but saw something written on backside.

"Thank you, Mujhe acha lagta agar tumne mujhe in person wish kiya hota"

I smiled and literally i dont know why but i was on cloud nine. She wanted me to wish her in person and What you did kartik. Stupid!!! You gave her a card 🙄.

Narrator's Pov
A few minutes later, everyone gathered in the living hall, lounging comfortably while discussing ideas for Naira's birthday party.

"Mei kya kehti hun... ek bahut bada sa hall book karte hain Naira ke birthday ke liye," Anjali suggested, but her idea was met with a chorus of muted groans.

"Hume wohi karna chahiye jo Naira ko sabse jyada pasand hai," a voice chimed in from behind. Naira turned, her heart skipping a beat as she saw Kartik standing there. She couldn’t help but smile, a soft glow lighting up her face.

"Bilkul, Kartik... tumne ek dam sahi kaha," Raghav bhai agreed, rolling his eyes slightly at the others' reactions.

"Seriously, Raghav bhai? Tumhe uska idea pasand hai?" Surbhi asked, her tone polite but tinged with disbelief.
