Kartik's Unknown Past

Kartik's Pov
I drove to the place i feel peace at.....
I stepped inside the cemetery and walked towards the grave of the person i once loved the most.
I falls down on knees and tears started flowing from my eyes.

"Its been 9 years....you know i still miss you....Tum kehti thi right mei ek aisa insan hun jo kisi ko hurt nhi kar sakta but you were wrong. Today i hurt someone i love and a friend of mine....Ab tumhe lagta hai ki mei bahut acha insan hun?"
I said infront of the gravestone and touched its surface closing my eyes to feel HER Presence.

"Kartik....Puppy ko kisi din to jana hi tha...Kartik Its not your fault"

"But tumhe woh bahut pasand tha... I am sorry meri galti-"

"Chup ke dam lagta hai tumhara mood thik karna hi hoga"

I opened my eyes with a smile as a lone tear came out of my eyes.

"Khaash aaj tum hoti sayad mei kabhi akela feel nhi karta...." as i said this , i remembered Naira. How she made me smile and how much she used to love me and what i did in return, Hurt her .

"Tumne mujhse pyaar karke bahut badi galti kar di Naira... I am sorry 😞 " i said and got up to go. He wipes tears off from his eyes and drove away sitting inside the car.

"Really ? You want to live in Rental house ?" Rohan asked me and nod in agreement. 

I have decided to go and live with raghav as i cant be burden on rohan for long. Its just a matter of few months then i will be flying to Germany to settle there.

"Yes Rohan , its just mei bas-"

"You are not a burden on me Kartik...tu mera dost hai" He said and i smiled. He really understand me but he needs to understand the fact that i cant live on a place for long time.

"I know Rohan....and tu bhi mera dost hai but try to understand.  This change will be good for us" I try to make him understand.  He was not happy with my decision but agreed reluctantly.

"Thank you yaar" He hugged me . But The challenge is what if Naira comes there. How will i avoid her?

Naira's Pov
I was talking to surbhi and Anjali . We were in Raghav Bhai's house to celebrate his birthday.

I saw him coming inside but wait.... He came with Kartik?

Yeh yeha kya kar raha hai

"Naira , Anjali , Surbhi....Inse milo yeh hain Kartik Goenka " Raghav Introduces Kartik to us. I and Surbhi already know him . Anjali too but never met him. Thank god Peter is not here else he would have spilled the beans infront of Raghav bhai.

"Hello..." He greeted us but looked more like he greeted me only.

"Hello Apse milke khushi hui " Anjali greeted unaware of the fact that he is the same person who betrayed me.

Rohit came in the hall and raghav bhai looked at him with anger.

"Raat ka nasha utar gaya ho to Yeha aake Hello keh dijiye...
Mehman hain humare....Kartik goenka " He said in strict tone while Rohit came infront of Kartik. He greeted him and Kartik nodded. He doesn't seems to like Rohit.

"Kartik...Tumhe Naira room dikha degi tumhara mei Rohit ko uske room me chodke aata hun...
Anjali please help" Raghav grabs Rohit by shoulder and Went away along with Anjali.

Now Only me , Kartik and Surbhi were left. Surbhi looked towards kartik in not so happy manner.

"Naira....Yeh Agar mafi mange to maaf mat karna....Jarur kisi plan se yeha aaya hai" Surbhi whispered to me and I nodded in agreement. Surbhi you dont have to worry. I am never gonna forgive Kartik. Never!!

"Room...." He said somewhat asked and i looked towards Surbhi who was not happy at all.

"Hmm...This way" I blinked my eyes towards Surbhi assuring her that i will be okay. I asked Kartik to follow me and he walked behind me with his big bag.

"This is the room" I said formally and not interested in talking to him at all.

"Naira mei-" He started to say but i showed him my hand to stop.

"Not interested " I said and left from there immediately.  I cant bear this man at all.

I was cutting apples in kitchen when kartik came there.

"Hi" He said hi but i didn't replied back. I dont want to either.

He was just standing and doing nothing. This irritates me.

"What?" I asked because i cant bear his presence. Not because I get affected but because i hate his presence.

"Can i get a glass of water?" He asked me and i sighed . I went to refrigerator and brought water bottle. I poured the water in glass and gave him.

"Thanks" He thanked me taking glass of water from me . I nodded and continued cutting apples but i could feel his eyes on me as he drank the water.

"Naira...mei-" He again wants to start a conversation.  Cant he understand that i dont want to.

"Goodnight " I took plate of apple with me to hall . I was not feeling sleepy so thought to watch a movie. I switched on the TV but kept volume low as everyone is sleeping. Its just me and ......Kartik.

"I just want to talk for a minute" He said coming into hall. Really!! About what he wants to talk? His betrayal? Or he wants to hurt me more?

I ignored whatever he is saying or will say.

"Naira....Dekho....I dont want trouble for me so please dont tell raghav about me and you. He may get offended and its just a couple of days then i will leave for london" He said and to be honest , I didn't ignore because i cant . He sounds selfish yet again.

I said nothing because he wants me to lie . To the most important people of my life. They supported me in my tough times. They loved me . They trust me . And he wants me to betray them? Sorry Kartik goenka...I am not like you. I am not a coward. I can face the reality . I can face the truth.

"Oh...I haven't watched Panchayat Season 3....Good , Finally got time" I said to myself but i was intentionally saying to hurt kartik. I want to tell him that i dont care what he says. I dont care about him at all .

I was watching the web series but i could sense Kartik staring at me. He continued doing so for few minutes and then he sighed in defeat. He walked away to his room and i heard the door closing.

He gave up. He always do. But i got successful in hurting him this time. He hurted me enough in past.

What is Kartik's Past? Will Naira and Kartik continue to hurt eachother?
