Beep. Beep. Beep.

Yunho twitched. He felt warmth on his hand and a small jabbing pain in his stomach. He scrunched his eyes as the pain became worse, he heard a voice. Calm and deep, soothing. It felt like it could cure his pain.

Sirens blaring from a distance as he laid down on a mattress, he felt pressure being applied on his stomach.

He didn't know what was going on. He tried to move but he couldn't. His head began to fog up and his body became numb again.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

Mingi held tightly onto Yunho's hand as they entered the Ambulance. He looked down at the wound which was being tended to by the paramedics, he felt a small jolt through Yunho's finger and he smiled.

Come one Yunho.. Mingi was humming softly as he brought his hand to his lips and hummed into it. He closed his eyes as the doors shut.

——————

Mingi sat still in the waiting room, The others gathered around him and comforting him and their own grief.

It was silent, calming. It was just them in the waiting room and it had been four or more hours since Yunho was taken in.

They all had their doubts, even the doctors. San and Wooyoung were asleep on the sofa opposite him and the others were crowded next to him.

Hongjoong was talking to a doctor who looked like she was in shock, she looked sick.

"We think he's heading the wrong way.. but he's pulled through the surgery. You can see him if you'd like." She mumbled and Mingi looked up, Yunho was heading the wrong way.

Hongjoong nodded and turned to the others.

"I think Mingi should go first." He mumbled.

"I don't think I should.. it's my fault." He answered as his eyes watered and his legs started to shake, he scrunched his face up as a tear rolled down his face. "It's my fucking fault.."

"It's not."

"It is. You know I'm right." He raised his voice, Hongjoong rolled his eyes and walked to Seongwha. Jongho stood up.

"Tell him it's your fault then. He needs to hear it. It could be the last time you ever speak to him."

"He won't hear it. But fine." Mingi muttered. He walked towards Yunho's room and pushed through.

The last time he could speak to him..

Yunho looked terrible, a tube hanging from his nose and mouth. It made Mingi shiver with guilt.

He made his way to Yunho and sat down beside him, taking Yunho's hand in his. He rubbed his thumb against the top of his hands and pressed his lips to it. He smiled.

"I'm sorry, Yunho." He muttered. "It's all my fault. I should've told you sooner, you wouldn't be here if I had. It's my fault your like this." His voice wobbled as a tear ran down his face and onto Yunho's hand. A small twitch came from it.

"I can't believe I'm going to do this.. Yunho.. if you can hear me, squeeze my hand. Can you do that for me?.." he asked. He waited a little while for some movements, none.

"I knew it. You can't hear me.." he was about to let go, he felt his hand being gripped slightly. He smiled. He looked at their hands, seeing Yunho tugging onto him.

"I love you.. I'm sorry this happened to you. Maybe it could've been better if we'd never of met. I'm glad I met you though, whether you are or aren't." He pulled his head towards Yunho's, he kissed his forehead.

"Be strong for me. Fight for me." He let go of Yunho's hand and laid it gently on the hospital bed, he stood up. "You can do it."

———————

It had been five days since Yunho came to hospital, there were no signs of him moving or anything special. He has had a few seizures but none that affected his health.

The doctors said that he could either die any minute or wake up, everybody had their doubts on whether he would live.

However, Mingi visited him every day with flowers to put by his bed. The others still had to work but Mingi pulled out from his job for a few weeks for Yunho.

He'd tell him about his day and how much he loved him. How much he missed him.

Mingi brushed Yunho's hair gently as he held on his hand, he smiled as he leaned towards him. Pressing his head into his neck.

He looked up at the table, it was full of flowers and random things Mingi had brought with him. It was quiet, only beeps from the monitor was making the noise.

Mingi wanted him to wake up. Mingi needed him to wake up.

—————

Mingi opened his eyes, he looked at Yunho from afar and frowned. He looked worse. He shook his thoughts off as he played with his fingers, staring at him.

The monitor suddenly spiked and his heart rate was increasing, Mingi stood up and rushed to him as he began twitching in the bed. His hand clawing at the sides and at his waist, his eyes scrunching.

"Yunho?.. it's okay!.." Mingi held his arms still as he looked around. "Someone help!" He shouted and a woman came in, instantly screaming for others to come.

Yunho twisted and turned violently as his hands reached for his mouth tube, his eyes were still shut tightly.

Mingi watched in shock as tears began falling from his eyes, he was panicking. A nurse pulled Mingi back as more doctors came to Yunho's side. Mingi shouted and screamed as he tried to get the nurse away from him.

He heard Yunho grunting and shouting as the doctors worked on him. Mingi was taken out of the room and into the waiting room, the man tightly gripping his hand on his arm. He dragged him to a chair.

"Get off me! Is he okay? Tell me he's okay." Mingi yowled at the doctors who rushed in and out. One looked at him with concern as she went back in. Shit.

Everything began calming down. The shouting has become few to none and the doctors had gone back to what they were up to before.

Mingi sat still in the chair, the nurse was stood by him. He saw the door to Yunho's room open and a doctor walked out, shutting it behind him. Mingi stood up.

"Is he okay?" He asked, brushing his hair slightly with his hands. The doctor smiled.

"He's awake. He said he wanted to see someone, Mingi I believe?" He nodded and continued walking by.

Mingi smiled as he made his way towards Yunho's room and opened it.

Yunho's alive. Yunho's safe.
