Grells POV
In the early morning me and William sleep on his bed which will soon be our shared bed. William slowly gets out of bed and stretches before getting in the bathroom to get ready for work.
I too get up out of bed carefully given that I'm 5 months in now and today I'm finding out the gender of the baby. I'm so excited!
Grell goes to put on her clothes a red maternity dress with some navy blue flowers on the skirt and she puts on her slip on blue heels.
Grell enters the bathroom to do her makeup putting on red lipstick and blue eyeshadow. She puts her hair into a braid and puts a cute blue bow with a rose in the middle of it.
William looks at her and smiles " you look gorgeous "
Grell smiles back " and you look handsome, I'll make sure to tell you first about the gender my love "
" of course, I do still apologize that I can't come. I just have a lot of meetings and soul collections to do today "
" i understand that love " grell says then kisses him " I'll see you at lunch though "
" I'll see you then " William says as grell gets her purse and leaves.
- at the doctors office-
Ryan comes in with an ultrasound machine " now expose your belly sister, this will be cold "
Grell does so lifting her dress up as Ryan puts some cold gel on her pregnant belly and uses the wand device to take a look inside.
Ryan looks at the screen " oh my "
" what? Is something wrong?"
" no nothing at all just well look " Ryan says showing her the screen
" huh?"
" two, two babies. One girl and one boy " Ryan says pointing at each one
" twins, I'm having a girl and a boy " grell says tearing up
Ryan gives her some tissues then prints out the scans for her to take home " now you can leave just be careful sister "
Grell nods and gets up after wiping the gel off her stomach and taking the scans.
Grell was smiling looking at the scans as she walked out of the hospital. I'm having twins.
This is the best day of my life
Grell smiles softly then looks up only to be knocked down forcefully by an estranged reaper who was clearly on something and running away from the officers.
Grell fell onto the pavement hard. Right on her stomach it didn't help that the reaper also trampled her. Then she felt it
Blood, so much blood gushing out of her
Grell tried to scream or something but she couldn't. The words wouldn't come out and soon enough she fainted.
- hours later -
Grell wakes up to see she's in the hospital still. Did I not leave? Then she noticed William there with Ryan.
" grell, oh good your awake I was so worried about you " William said then gets up holding her hand
" w what happened?" Grell looks at her love then her brother figure then she remembered
" MY BABIES!!!! ARE THEY OK?!?" She yelled panicked
" sister calm down alright just try to calm down, your baby is ok " Ryan says
" baby? Y you mean babies? Right?"
Ryan shook his head " only the girl survived......I'm terribly sorry sister.....I did everything i could "
" n no.....no! NO!!! Your lying!!!! " grell cries out
William holds her close trying his damn hardest to comfort her but to no avail
Nothing in the world hurts more than losing a child.
Grell knew that the most, remembering her beloved madam red. And the fact she always wanted children of her own for a century now she lost one of her children.
All because she was too happy to look up
