(2) Fresh Start in A New Place

( Luna's Pov )

I woke up the next morning, only it was eleven'thirty. I hurried and got dressed. My father's would be coming for me soon or at least one of them would be. Most likely Kris. I sat with Mrs. Chang and my things in the lobby of the Agency.
"Luna.... The Prison Warden discovered your parents dead in their cells this morning. Your inheritances will be dealt with tomorrow." She said. I just nodded. Not a single tear ran down my face or filled my eyes.
"Thank you Mrs. Chang. For the last six years...." I said.
"No problem Luna. You've been a delight." She looked up and smiled. I just stared at her cinfused. Then someone grabbed me from behind. I looked. It was Kris and Tao
"Daddies!" I exclaimed. They held me in their arms. I giggled. We grabbed my things. I held my favorite pillow in my hands. We said goodbye to Mrs. Chang and left. We walked into the apartment and guess who was sitting there. "You!" He stood up.
"You!" He yelled. I threw my pillow at him. He clenched his fists. I glared at him.
"Why is he here?" I hissed.
"Why is she here?" He growled. Kris looked shocked.
"Luna. His mom used to be my brother's sister-in-law. We're watching him this weekend. Rinji she's our daughter now." Kris said. I grabbed my pillow and stormed off to my room. I sat on my bed and glared at the wall. Kris came in. "Explain."
"I.... He.... Grr.... We tortured each other in school! He did worse things to me than I did to him!" I hissed. He nodded and laughed.
"That's all?" He asked. I nodded. He laughed harder. I frowned.
"It's not funny!" I yelled. He muffled his laughter. They locked Rinji and I in the bathroom.
"You two makeup and you can come out." Tao said. I whined. Rinji elbowed me.
"Hey!" I yelled.
"Shut up." He hissed softly. He pointed at the window. I nodded. My dads walked away. We opened the window. He went out first. I went out and he caught me in his strong-ish twelve year old arms. He took my hand and we took off to the park. I giggled as he told me about Kris's embarrassing moment in the park. "He totally just fell on his face. He made it look like he was doing push ups!" I laughed. We sat on a bench. He on one and I on the other. He moved closer. I leaned against him. "We cool?" I nodded. I held his hand and fell asleep. He shook my shoulder. He held a finger to his lips and dragged me behind a bush. He pointed to my dads. I smiled. They ran past us. We dashed to the apartment building and climbed back into the bathroom. We closed it and sat on the floor. I fell asleep once more against him. He kissed my forehead. My hand in his. The door flew open. I sat up and rubbed my eyes.
"Hi dad...." I whispered. Kris looked at our hands. I quickly let go. My face turned red. I slipped past them. Rinji went in the opposite direction. I sat on my bed and blushed. Kai, KyungSoo, Channie, Baek, Lay and LuHan came in. They sat on my bed.
"Err.... Kris wanted us to talk to you...." Channie said awkwardly.
"Oh. Oh. God please don't." I said. Lay shooed them out.
"I'll do it." He said. They sighed with relief and left. After an hour I thought I was gonna hurl.
"No. No more dad. Just stop!" I exclaimed. He sighed.
"And that's how it all happens." He said. I grabbed my trash can and vomited. Lay rubbed my back. "I know. I did the same thing after my talk." I had been red faced the whole time. Kris walked in. He stared at me.
"Yeesh. Throw up much mannago?" He asked. I nodded. "So did Rinji. It's okay mannago." I sighed. I went and brushed my teeth. TWICE. I sat in the living room with Rinji. An awkward silence between us. He checked to see if the coast was clear. We snuck out the front door. We went to the ice cream shop down the road. We shared an large almond soft serve cone. The server, a girl, smiled at us.
"How cute." She said. I blushed. She took our picture. We sat on a bench and shared the ice cream. He stared at me.
"You know.... You're cute Luna." He said. I giggled nervously.
"Thank you." I said. He smiled and took my hand. He kissed my cheek gently. Someone cleared their throat behind us. I grimaced. We looked up. I didn't recognize the man standing there. Rinji pushed me behind him when we stood up.
"Who are you?" Rinji growled. The man stared at us. Rinji pulled me towards the apartment. He followed us. I threw the ice cream in his face and we started running. We burst quietly into the apartment and sat on the couch. Kris crossed his arms over his chest and the others stared at us. I swallowed hard. Someone knocked on the door. Rinji and I ran to my room. We sat on my bed and talked until an half angry half laughing Kris opened the door. He tried to stop laughing.
"Say sorry to.... To Mr. Tanaka." He said. He held in his laughter.
"We're sorry." We said. Mr. Tanaka glared at us. "Well you didn't have to stare ominously at us." I softly murmured. Rinji snickered. Mr. Tanaka left. Kris burst into a fit of laughter.
"You threw ice cream in his face?" He asked. We nodded. He laughed even harder. "Nice!" I stared wide eyed at my father. Tao smacked his arm. He straightened up. "Err.... I mean.... That's so not cool. You two shouldn't have done that." He tried to scowl but failed completely. All of us burst into a fit of laughter.
"Soo.... What are we doing today?" Rinji asked. Kris coughed.
"Oh. We're going out to lunch and then to the studio to discuss our next album. Then you two can have all the free time you want when we get home." He said. We nodded. Rinji and I made sure we had our phones and iPods. I put the cases in mine and we put them in a bag. I grabbed two pairs of earbuds and put them in too. We went to the noodle shop down the road. The funny part is.... Kris couldn't stay mad about the incident. He pulled us back. "Don't tell the guys this but I think you two are cute. So does everyone but Mr. T. Don't worry about him though, I have no clue who he is." I smiled and nodded.

( Kris's Pov )

They threw ice cream in his face?! OMG! I cannot stop laughing about that. Though I'm supposed to be scolding the two I can't. Now sitting at a table in the noodle shop, Luna beside me and Tao beside her, I guess.... We really feel like a family. Luna took my hand in her small one. Silent tears rolled down my face. She looked up at me.
"It's okay daddy." She whispered. She buried her face in my chest. I held her, brushing away my tears. She shuddered. "Something bad is about to happen." Her voice was still quiet. I looked up. Luna pushed out of my arms. She waved her hand. Suddenly everyone was sporting this: 보호, which means Protection in Korean, on their wrists. Gun shots rang out. "Don't panic. We'll be fine." Everyone looked at her. The door flew open. The man with the gun pointed it right at her. He piled the trigger but it bounced off of her. Her eyes became a bright pink color. He shot at everyone else too. "Told you we'd be fine."
"But.... How'd that happen? You all should be dead or injured at least!" The guy cried. I laughed.
"No. If anything the pain will come to you. Via my father here. He's very overprotective." Luna said. I stood up. Fury obviously showed on my face.
"You opened fire on me and my family. Oh really? Let's see how well you shoot that thing with a broken hand." I growled. The man took off running. I laughed and sat down. Luna waved her hand again and the sign was gone. Her eyes returned to their normal, beautiful brown color. Though she was very pale and weak looking. Rinji looked concerned. The server came out with our food. We ate in silence. Luna finished and walked out the door. She headed to the apartment for something. She didn't come back. Rinji took off to the apartment. He called me.
"She doesn't look so good. She's really pale Kris." He said. I heard a gagging noise in the background. "Ew!" I snickered. "Hold on.... She's in her room now." A door shut. "She shut the door in my face." He was whining now. We hurried to the apartment after paying for the food. "She's still in there and it's really quiet."
"Luna. Open the door." I said. She squeaked and whimpered in pain.
"Hold.... Hold on a second.... Aah!" She cried. She whimpered and opened the door. Her arms showed no sign of cutting or such. She shut the door again. "I'm.... I'm okay. Just wait in the living room...." The guys walked away. I listened to her whimper in pain. I just listened. "I've never protected so many and one time.... It drained all of my energy so fast." She cried out in pain again. A bright light flashed from under the door as she cried out again. She was silent and walked out the door. I grabbed her.
"Are you okay?" I asked. She nodded. Her coloring had returned to normal. I sighed and hugged her. We walked into the living room. Rinji was the first one to grab hold of her. She hugged him back, a smile playing at her lips.
"We could hear the cries of pain. What were you doing?" Tao asked. She tensed.
"Err.... Nothing.... Just...." She stuttered. Rinji spoke.
"She just had to.... Get over her stomach pains herself. She's brave like that." Rinji said. I looked at them suspiciously.

( Luna's Pov )

Kris didn't look like he believed us. Rinji knows what happens to me. Thankfully he covered for me.... Kind of. We stood there and smiled reassuringly.
"Well.... Okay.... " Kris said. He noticed my necklace it was the one they had made for me. He smiled. My stomach began to flip in my stomach. I flicked my wrist and 죽지 않는 appeared on all forearms but mine and Rinji's. It means immortal in Korean. I wanted them to be with me for forever. I'd do the same to Rinji when we were the right age. For now I just want him to grow and me the same. My father's looked at their forearms and raised eyebrows.
