Void; a completely empty space. Devoid of anything, whether it be good or bad. That is how Error would describe it. Completely empty, with no true label, he almost admired it, maybe envy it. He would hear stories from other sans that the void was capable of many things, even capable of killing an immortal being... Maybe that was why error was so drawn towards it. His want for death overpowered his determination to keep living in a place where every skeletal being wants to see in only black and white. There was no room for the morally greys. He had learned that the hard way, as if it wasn't bad enough that his fate was set for failure from the start of his rebirth as Error. Not Error sans, just error. A mistake. A creature that should have never been made, hell, he wasn't even sure if he was ever more than just error. Maybe he wasn't anything before opening his eyes for the 'first' time. He'd like to think he had a life before this one hellish one, that he had a brother too, who he loved and cherished dearly. A papyrus of his own. That was wishful thinking, maybe even foolish, the voices in his head would agree to that.
Error wandered if the rumors were true of the void being capable of killing an immortal being such as himself. If it was, would he just stay dead or be reborn? Curiosity was dangerous after all.

...

The black/multicolored skeleton sat by the edge of spacetales cliff, the one that also housed the void. It was a surprise that Ink had never caught him here. Something in his nonexistent gut told him that Ink was aware he was here but never showed up as he knew this was one of errors few safe spaces. Many had thought Error and Ink were sworn enemies, and they surely played the part too, but they never actually hated each other. It was like they both had a silent understanding of the other's situation. Two forced gods forever meant to dance to a never-ending tango of destruction and creation. Many other sans were drawn towards Ink as he, despite being a god himself, was actually a sans once, and held memory of those times despite his forgetfulness over everything else. Meanwhile, compared to error, who held little resemblance to a sans other than being a skeleton, was always cut out to be nothing more than just some crazed lunatic who destroyed many worlds and killed innocent people. Once upon of time, it used to hurt that those who he sought to protect, saw him as such a monster. His anormal height that was taller than some papyrus's and his large spiky bones on the back of his neck, along with all of his other worldly features didn't help with painting him as a friendly creature.
The cliff looked so tempting, if he had jumped now, all of his pain would disappear. He hoped so anyway. His bony claws itched at the ground, making claw marks in the clay like surface below him. His big and long bone like tail sat beside him, eliminating a teil and blue ombré glow. Ink had once blurted out during one of their battles that he had found it beautiful and had hoped one day error would allow him to paint it. It was an odd request, but error had never felt so happy for once that someone, even if it was Ink, had thought at least some part of him was beautiful. Ink will never know or understand just how happy that small outburst had made him. Too bad Ink will never get to paint his tail as Error allowed himself to fall forward and into the void. He had finally allowed his curiosity to kill him. Hearing the voices in his head scream in anguish as he felt his already damaged body break into a thousand pieces. It felt... oddly calming despite the pain.
