Y/N stood in the hallway, her arms crossed as she stared at the report card in Jin's hand. She knew this conversation wasn't going to end well, and her suspicions were confirmed when Jin's expression darkened.
"It's not a big deal, Jin. Besides, I'll do better next semester," she said, trying to soften the blow by pouting cutely, a trick that usually worked on her older brother.
But Jin was having none of it. "No, this can't continue. I need to do something before you turn into Taehyung 2.0, latest version," he declared, shooting a glare at Taehyung, who was blissfully unaware as he concentrated on his video game in the living room.
Before Y/N could respond, the doorbell rang, its sharp tone echoing through the house. She rolled her eyes, annoyed at the interruption. The doorbell continued ringing incessantly, and she muttered under her breath about people who didn't know how to wait.
With a huff, she yanked the door open, and there stood Jeon Jungkook, smirk firmly in place as if he owned the world. The sight of him instantly soured her mood further.
"So, what are you doing here? Run out of girls to go play with?" Y/N sneered, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Jungkook's eyes sparkled with amusement at her hostility. "Oh, that's a good choice of words, Princess," he shot back, the nickname laced with his usual mockery.
Before their banter could escalate, Jin's voice interrupted from the living room. "Come in, Jeon Jungkook, I'm so glad you could make it," he greeted, his tone warm and inviting—far too warm for Y/N's liking.
Y/N whipped around to glare at Jin, suspicion gnawing at her. "What is happening here?" she demanded, already dreading the answer.
Jin, calm as ever, simply smiled at his little sister, a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "Jungkook here will be your tutor for the rest of the semester," he announced, his voice matter-of-fact.
Y/N's heart rate spiked, and she could feel the blood rushing to her face. "What do you mean, Jin?!" she repeated, her voice tinged with desperation, as Jungkook sauntered into the house like he belonged there.
"If you want your credit card back, better do as I say," Jin replied, his tone firm as he kept walking, Y/N scurrying after him like a small, angry puppy trying to keep up with its owner.
"Urghhh! All of you are so annoying!" she exclaimed, throwing her hands up in frustration, her voice echoing through the house.
Namjoon, who had been peacefully reading his book on the couch, looked up, confused. "What did I do wrong?" he asked, his eyes flicking between Jin and Y/N, trying to make sense of the situation.
"There's nothing wrong with all of us, it's just Y/N here doesn't want to commit to anything in her life," Jin explained, his voice patient as he stopped suddenly, causing Y/N to bump into his back.
"You're trying to change my life to be like yours, right? So what? So that Dad can be proud of you?!" Y/N accused, her voice sharp as she pushed back, unwilling to back down.
Jin's expression softened, and he sighed, turning to face her. "I want you to have a better life, Y/N," he said gently, his tone betraying the affection he always had for her.
"Fine! I'll do this, so you can probably be proud of me!" Y/N snapped, grabbing Jungkook's hand and dragging him toward the stairs.
Jungkook followed her willingly, a bemused smile playing on his lips as she practically stomped up the stairs. But before disappearing, Y/N turned back to face her brothers, her expression a mix of anger and embarrassment. "I'm not dragging him to my bedroom, for your information! We're just going to study in the study room!" she clarified, her voice rising in pitch.
Jin barely suppressed a smile at her antics, while Namjoon, who had no desire to get involved in more drama, simply shrugged and turned back to his book. He decided to join Taehyung on the couch, grabbing a controller to distract himself with the video game instead.
As Y/N led Jungkook into the study room, she couldn't shake the feeling that this semester was going to be a nightmare. Not only was she stuck with the most annoying tutor on the planet, but now she had to prove herself to Jin, all while trying not to let Jungkook get under her skin any more than he already had.
She knew one thing for sure—this was going to be one long, frustrating semester.

Y/N leaned back in her chair, completely uninterested as Jungkook examined her exam paper with a critical eye. The numbers and letters on the page might as well have been hieroglyphics for all she cared.
"Wow, it looks like you didn't even try here," Jungkook remarked, his voice tinged with disappointment as he flipped through the pages, shaking his head slightly.
"Whatever. I don't care if I fail or pass the exam," Y/N replied nonchalantly, her attention more focused on checking her manicure and scrolling through her phone. She wasn't about to let Jungkook, of all people, get under her skin.
But Jungkook wasn't having it. In one swift motion, he snatched the phone out of her hand, raising his brows as he met her annoyed gaze. "Even though I'm a very fun person, I take my job seriously," he said, his tone a mix of teasing and sincerity as he slipped her phone into his pocket.
"Bla bla bla... Boring," Y/N muttered, pouting in protest. She wasn't used to people, especially guys like Jungkook, telling her what to do.
Jungkook couldn't help but be amused by her defiance. Her attitude was frustrating, yes, but there was something about the way she carried herself that made it impossible for him to look away. The scent of her perfume filled the room—subtle yet captivating, unlike the overpowering fragrances he'd encountered on other girls. It was intoxicating, and he found himself distracted by it, and by her.
He hadn't fully appreciated how beautiful she was until now. The way her hair cascaded down her shoulders, the way she sat with her legs crossed casually, exuding confidence and elegance—everything about her was a perfect contrast to the usual girls he met. And the fact that she seemed completely uninterested in him only added to her allure, making him want her even more.
"What?!" Y/N snapped, her eyes narrowing as she caught him staring.
"Nothing," Jungkook replied, tearing his gaze away from her and back to the exam paper. He needed to focus, to remind himself why he was here. "If you want to pass your test, be serious about it," he added, trying to steer the conversation back to their study session.
Y/N huffed, crossing her arms in a show of defiance. "Why do you care so much? It's not like it's your life on the line."
Jungkook leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table, his gaze locking onto hers. "I care because I'm your tutor, and if I'm going to help you, you need to meet me halfway. You might think school isn't important, but trust me, there's more to it than you realize."
Y/N rolled her eyes but didn't respond immediately. She could tell he wasn't going to back down, and as much as she hated to admit it, she was starting to see a side of Jungkook she hadn't expected. Beneath that cocky exterior was someone who genuinely cared—someone who wasn't going to let her off the hook just because she wanted to be difficult.
She sighed, realizing that there was no getting out of this. "Fine, I'll try," she mumbled, though her tone still held a hint of reluctance.
Jungkook smirked, satisfied with her small concession. "That's all I ask," he said, reaching into his pocket to retrieve her phone. "But I'm keeping this until we're done," he added, waving it teasingly before placing it on a high shelf, well out of her reach.
Y/N glared at him but didn't protest. She knew she had to get through this somehow, and maybe, just maybe, she could learn something in the process. But one thing was for sure—this was going to be a long semester, and the battle between her and Jungkook was only just beginning.
