Opinion: Sorry all Perachel shippers, but,while I don't hate Perachel, it was pretty obvious that Percy and Annabeth would end up together(especially in The Last Olympian) and not Percy and Rachel. First of all, Rachel was introduced IN THE THIRD BOOK and we literally only saw her for like two pages while Annabeth had been a main character ever since the first book.  Second of all, it was SUPER subtle that Rachel and Percy liked each other. Rachel probably actually did like Percy in a romantic way but what Percy felt is way less know. He may have had a small crush on Rachel, but his feelings for her were super brief and never as deep as his for Annabeth. And lastly, as Rachel said, she liked Percy  because Percy opened the gateway to Greek Mythology but that they were never destined to be together. And as Percy said, that meant she was dumping him to be the Oracle. And Percy's reaction to that was" It was lame considering we'd never been together." Exactly. It was ended before it could really start. And honestly? I think that it would've been weird if they ever got together because Annabeth and Percy's attraction to each other was SO strong. If Annabeth ever dumped him, Percy would've been way more upset. In other words, Percy may have had a small crush on Rachel, but his feelings for Annabeth were way stronger.
