The one that got away

Akala ko dati hindi totoo yung tinatawag nilang TOTGA or the one that got a way. Alam mo yun? yung hindi mo na malimot - limot, kahit abutan pa tayo ng thousand years, naiisip mo parin at paulit - ulit mo paring pinagsisisihan.

TOTGA is real, and I'm the living proof.

It was way back in high school, when I was just minding my own world and okay na namag isa. Kung kailan hindi ako nag hahanap, dun siya dumating. Sa hindi ko inaasahang pag lkakataon, tyaka siya binigay ng panginoon.

Hanggang ngayon, may special space ka parin sa puso ko.

Mag classmates kami nong high school, at first Akala ko hindi kami magkakasundo. He was so noisy, and irritating in my eyes. Literal na boy at the back.

Pandemic ng mga oras na yun pero nakikita ko parin siya for projects and research.

I was the one who approached him first sa private message, kasi I missed something sa school works, I don't know why he was the one a approached, it was random chat kasi i don't actually know someone sa section namin.

The first approach was a failed one, I got mountains of questions but 3/4 of all my questions was answered by "hindi ko alam, tanong mo nalang kay (kung sino mang Pokémon yung sinabi niya) "

How can I supposed to approach that person, when I don't even know who they are?

Well, siya din naman pero first and last person na siyang inapproach ko.

And I ended the first conversation nice and smooth even though it was irritating.

I thought it was the first and last conversation we will have. But I missed another task, so approached him again.

Unlike the first conversation, he answered my questions the way it was supposed to be answered.

So that's it, that is when all of this thing happened. We kept the conversation going. And we realize we have a lot in common. I love exploring and he has this 'Go with everything attitude' and it was a perfect match.

We created friendship after all the bond, laughter and crazy things we did just for fun.

We also have a friend, she's Che Tolentino. We were like a solid trio. And this is when Wex Dela Vega come in the picture. He courted me for months.

He was so consistent, caring and all the things I could ever ask for. He give it to me naturally. But I'm a fool, I even got some moves like cheating. Like I was cheating on Wex. I give him the permission to court me, because I wanna give it a try if I can love him along the process.

But I was wrong, the more he give me surprises and gifts, the more I was uncomfortable. The more I realize that the one that I like is Reo.

Then one day, Wex confronted me about Reo, though it was not a secret about the friendship, he confronted me about him.

Sinabihan niya ako na kung sino man gusto ko dun ako mag risk, na ayos lang sakanya kahit hindi siya. But fuck he was crying, and begging. He told me to make up my mind, na wag ko naman siya gawing parang gago.

I think about it for a few days, and asking to God to make Reo realize I'm waiting.

If he likes me, make his intentions clear.  I'm not a fan of mix signals. He even ask me

"Pano kung sabihin kong gusto kita? Ano reaction mo?"

And giving me compliments, remembering every small details about me, bringing me food and checking me out everytime.
