"Okay..." he said reluctantly.
Little did Chester know, his beloved mom, Christen, was listening to the conversation the whole time. She was etched with sorrow and couldn't hold back the flood of tears flowing down her face. She was upset because she knew her son didn't want to get married at a young age but accepted it to benefit the family.
"Okay, since your son agrees, the marriage will be arranged for five months later!" Matt said excitedly.
PRESENT...
No one's POV:
The wedding started and everything went smoothly. (IDK HOW WEDDING WORK PLS DONT SAY ITS BAD CUZ IK ITS BAD 😭😭)
Soon, it was time for the vows.
"I promise to take good care of you, give you attention and my love. I will take care of you forever," Parker said.
"I also promise to take good care of you, give you attention and my love. I will take care of you forever," Chester said.
They then kissed each other.
Chester's POV:
It's been one month, and he has not shown any love at all.
I feel that he is lying. If he didn't like me, why would he marry me? Tears started to form and streamed down my face. '
Why do I still like him?' I thought to myself.
Narrator's POV:
Slowly, seconds turned to minutes, minutes turned to hours, hours turned to days, and days turned to months.
After many failed attempts by Chester to catch Parker's attention, there was no change at all. Until something happened.
Parker's POV:
Where is Chester? I need him because my dad called for him.
I looked everywhere but couldn't find him.
Soon, I was worried like a mother looking for her son. I went everywhere searching for him. But why was I worried? I didn't like him.
What happened to me? Argh... Never mind that for now... where is Chester? I went to the last place I could think of, the backyard.
When I reached there, relief washed over me. I saw Chester. He looked so pretty under the sun, gazing at dandelions. (IK ITS CRINGE😭) I think that's his favorite flower.
I have never seen him this happy.
Maybe I didn't take care of him as I promised. I felt very guilty; all this time, I was "playing" with him.
I snapped back to reality when he tapped on my shoulder.
"Do you need anything?" he asked.
"Ah, yes, my father is calling you," I replied, feeling embarrassed.
Soon, I grew fond of him. I would sometimes find myself staring at him.
I soon realized my feelings for him, not because of his sky-blue eyes, blond hair, and pretty face but because of his smile, laughter, and the way he talks. Months later, Parker found the courage to tell him about his feelings.
A FEW WEEKS LATER...
"Chester, I'm sorry for treating you badly, and I promise to take care of you," Parker said.
Chester gave a quizzical look.
"What are you trying to say?" he asked.
"I'm in love with you," Parker replied.
Chester then smiled and said, "I love you too."
