**Seras:** L-U-C-I-A-N, Lucian! I’m really craving ice cream right now 😫!

**Lucian:** Ugh, why don’t you just go get some yourself?

**Seras:** Seriously? You expect a cute and innocent girl like me to venture out to the convenience store at this hour? What if I get snatched up? 😣

**Lucian:** Tsk. Fine, so no one can “snatch up” this “adorable” girl 🙄✌️.

**Seras:** 💢 And this is why I can’t stand you.

**Lucian:** Oh, really? I could’ve sworn you liked me.

**Seras:** As if! 🙄 Don’t get too full of yourself just because you were blessed with a handsome face.

**Lucian:** Pfft. (Leaning in) Right back at you. You were acting pretty cute a moment ago.

**Seras:** Aww, you think I’m cute? 🥺

**Lucian:** (Soft smile) I do. (Teasing her)

**Seras:** Tsk. Don’t get so close! (Pushes him away) Let’s just get some ice cream and call it a night. We have class tomorrow.

**Lucian:** Sure, sure.

**Seras** (narrating): Hi! I’m Seras Lev, by the way. Sorry for the late intro 😘. The guy over there is Lucian Hayes—my so-called childhood friend. We’re half friends, half rivals, and as much as I hate to admit it, we share the same hobbies and interests.

Our moms have been best friends since they were pregnant with us, so we’ve been stuck together for as long as I can remember. And here’s the kicker: I actually live with this guy because our moms, who are both single have decided to start fresh, they both thought it’d be a great idea to share a home. Honestly, I have no idea how their minds work 😑.

**Jessie:** Good morning! Done with the homework?

**Seras:** You bet 😉.

**Lucian:**Oh Seras-who-claimed-to-be-adorable-but-is-actually-not Mrs. Kana is asking for you. She’s waiting in the faculty room.

**Lucian .** All jokes aside, she asked for you.

**Seras.** You started it first but, like, right now? Class is about to start.

**Lucian:** Yep.

**Seras:** (Sigh) Okay… Jessie, head to class first, or you'll be late. I’ll catch up later.

**Jessie:** Got it. See you soon.

**In the faculty room.**

**Seras:** Mrs. Kana? I was told you needed to see me. Do you need any help with something?

**Mrs. Kana:** Oh, Seras. Yes, I did ask for you, but it was supposed to be during lunch. If that time doesn’t work for you, I can ask you now.

**Seras:** During lunch? Ehh?? Sorry, Mrs. Kana, but I really need to go or I’ll be late for class. I’ll come back at 12 o’clock.

**Mrs. Kana:** Oh, alright then.

**Seras:** (Under her breath as she leaves) Argh 😤! That idiotic face of yours, Lucian. I swear, I’m going to make you pay for this! 😡
