Fast Friends

As daylight approaches Hogarth kicks the can and the robot is asleep. Hogarth walks up to the robot.

"Sleep tight. I'll see you tomorrow" Leaves the junkyard

Hogarth comes into his bedroom through his open window feeling tired.

He takes off his shoes and jacket then he's about to get in his bed. Then Annie opens the door.

"You're up already?"

"Just making the bed"

"Well, that's nice. Come downstairs. I have a surprise for you"

A tired Hogarth comes down stairs with different clothes on. He walks into the rented room and Kent is reading the newspaper and wolf having coffee.

"Morning sport" he puts down the newspaper, revealing himself, "Sleep well?"

"Mom?" He looks at Mr Wolf who shrugged at him.

"Isn't it wonderful Hogarth? We finally rented our room"

Hogarth Groans in disgust, "I'm not very hungry"

He Walks away, leaving Annie confused and Kent suspicious.

When Hogarth left, "wolf could you come with me, I need to talk to you privately"

So wolf follows him to the restroom, "what is it sir?"

"It's about the boy I think he's hiding something or i think he knows something but he won't tell us"

"With all due respect sir, I don't think the boy is hiding anything he seems like a nice kid"

"We can't be sure, I want to watch the boy to see what he's up to, keep a close eye on him"

"Yes sir"

The scene switches to Dean in his house he opens the door and see's the robot.

"Oh yeah"

Back at Hogarth's house the phone rang and Hogarth answers it.

"Hello, this is Hogarth Hughes speaking. Who's calling please?"

" I said he could stay for the night, kid. But it's morning now"

Hogarth Through clenched-teeth, "Look, I'll try to come over. OK? But there's this weird guy here who's watching me" Kent opens the door and grins at Hogarth.

"What? What's that supposed to mean? I got this big, giant-- Giant thing out here"

"I can't talk right now, okay? Bye" he Hangs up the phone.

"Who was that, sport? Friend of yours?"

"Yeah. He's a new kid"

Dean hangs up the phone and sees the robot outside eating one of metal scraps.

"Hey! Hey! Stop! Stop! Stop that! Stop it!" He trips on the floor, Hogarth comes downstairs.

"Hey, mind if I ask you a few questions, buckaroo?" In the living room.

"Now, why would you tell your mom about a giant robot Slugger?" In the kitchen and he's eating a sandwich.

"What'd you see at the power station huh?" In the hallway upstairs.

"Tell anyone else Buddy?" In the rented room.

"How big is this thing Ranger?"'In the bathroom.

"Been in the forest lately? Champ? Slugger? Hey, Cowboy? Where are you going?"

Then Hogarth bumps into Mr Wolf, he grabs his shoulder and winks at him.

"Where you going wolf" Kent asked.

"We're going out! I thought I interviewed the boy myself" wolf winks at Kent, Kent nodded thinking wolf might find something, Hogarth Takes his jacket.

"Why don't you take Mr. Mansley with you? Show him the sights"

"Aww, Mom the sights?"

"Hey, I'd love that. Give us a chance to get aquainted, swap some stories. Huh Chief?"

"Oh that's not necessarily sir I got the kid maybe he can show me around I'm new here"

Princess was playing when she sees wolf leaving with Hogarth.

"Wolf, where are you going?" Princess asked.

"Oh no where sweetheart I thought I-Hogarth here show me something" They left him behind, heading outside.

"Ok kid" wolf grabs his shoulder, "where did you hid the robot"

"he's at the junk yard. I have a friend who can watch him"

"So someone else knows?"

"Yes but don't worry, he's not gonna tell he promise only to let him stay the night"

"Ok that's good kid, it's best to let someone you can trust only know about this I don't think the guys could handle for what our friend is if they saw him"

"I understand Mr wolf I think my mom would flip out too"

"Oh bad stay sharp kid, Kent asked me to keep an close eye on you, I think he might suspect something so watch out for him"

"Don't worry Mr wolf I know how to handle guys like him"

"That's what I like to hear"

But little did he know, Princess was watching him outside the window, she carefully opened the door, just peeking, when Kent opened it wide and wraps his arms around Hogarth.

"Alright you ready kid"

"Uh-" Hogarth was worried Till he felt a hand and he looks up to see wolf who smiles at him.

"You coming wolf?" Kent asked.

"Nah, why don't you guys go ahead, I have to go pick up something Hogarth here left at the junkyard"

"What thing?" Hogarth was clueless.

Then wolf bends down to whisper to him, "I'll go to the junkyard to keep an eye on your friend meanwhile you keep Kent busy ok"

"Oh right, that thing" Hogarth will at him.

"Anyway I'll see you guys later" wolf leaves. But then princess started to follow him.

The scene switches to the junkyard where Dean talks to the robot.

"There are two kinds of metal in this yard. Scrap and art. If you gotta eat one of them, eat the scrap. What you currently have--"IN YOUR MOUTH IS ART!!" Dean yells angrily at the giant.

The Iron Giant Takes the art scrap out of his mouth, "Art?" He says.

But Dean looks at him annoyed. The robot seemingly tries to repair the art scrap.

"Forget it. Forget it!" The robot puts down the damaged art scrap on the ground.

"It's gone. It's-" Dean notices the readjustment of the art scrap and is amazed.

"Hmm, it's not bad"

Then he heard running, he looks to see Mr wolf, to which dean panicked and tries to cover it up.

"Nothing to see here just a...a art scrap I'm working on"

"It's ok I know, the kid sent me here to check on him" wolf assured him.

"Oh I guess that's ok"

"Hey man, you ok" wolf talks to the giant, who looks at him.

Then giant points to himself, "yes you, it's ok I'm here"

"It's strange isn't it" dean asked.

"Yeah crazy isn't it"

But just then, "is that a giant robot" they were shocked by the voice, they turned to see it was shark, the others and Diane followed him.

They looked shocked, "what? You guys followed me?" Wolf asked.

"No we followed her" snake points to princess who was hiding behind a busted old car, she saw the innate bad was hiding from him.
