Intro
The next day felt different from the last.
After the announcement of Kiyotaka's leadership, Class B had begun to take class matters even more seriously than before. When the first lesson began, Class B were already in their seats, waiting in silence for the lesson to begin. And when Chabashira's final homeroom session ended, none of the students, even the ones who had club activities today, left the classroom.
In Kiyotaka's opinion, he was happy that everyone had followed his orders and stayed, even the ones who had clubs. But he also felt a little worried that unless those who had clubs contacted their coaches/leaders in advance, it would be problematic when they would attend when this little session was finished.
For now, he threw away those thoughts and just focused on the present situation. He announced yesterday that he was going to state his plan for the class's maid cafe after school today. With that in mind, he stood up from his seat at the back, garnering the slightly anxious expressions of his classmates as he traversed his way to the podium at the front of the classroom.
"Everyone is here, correct?" He started upon facing his classmates at the podium. Receiving nods from everyone, Kiyotaka continued. "Okay. Then let's begin the cultural festival discussion."
He gave a look around the class, seeing each of their focused and determined gazes. This was good, especially when some people like Ike, Miyamoto and Hondou either messed around too much or acted with stupidity.
"The plan like I said yesterday is for a maid cafe. That has now been finalised as the actual event that we will hold, however, the issue comes with the preparations in line with that. While a lot of this has already been discussed within the budget terms, thanks to Mii-chan and Yukimura, we have yet to come to terms with how we will distribute each of the roles and responsibilities to all of you. That is what I plan to do with you guys now."
Kiyotaka paused before turning to one person he had wanted to talk to ever since they announced the plan ages ago.
"Inogashira."
"Y-Yes!?"
Surprised at hearing her name being called out, Inogashira Kokoro, a small petite and quite shy girl with long purple hair that ran down to just above the midsection, stuttered but answered his call nonetheless.
"The maid costumes are going to be the main part of the event, because well... It's a maid cafe." Kiyotaka started, drawing a few giggles and some eye rolls from his unintentional joke. "The issue is the maid costumes themselves. Renting them seems to be a little bit expensive for us, so our budget plan includes us buying the materials and making our own. I heard you can sew really well, so I would like to ask if you can lead the team making the maid uniforms and make them dazzling. Is that okay or is it too much for you?"
Considering how Inogashira was still recovering over the Kushida incident since, just like Mei-Yu, she also happened to be one of Kushida's closest friends, asking something like this from her was probably a bit of a stretch. That was exactly why Kiyotaka added that concern at the end of his request.
"U-um... It might be a bit much to ask me to lead. B-but, if you're going to rely on my skills for making the outfits, then I-I can't exactly refuse. I can show everyone what they need to do to help me while I build them."
That was enough for Kiyotaka. If he was being honest, relying on others that weren't Inogashira to help make the maid outfits was even more risky than Inogashira just making them herself. Inogashira probably understood that and mentioned her making them instead, but with others assisting her with the materials.
