The early day sun gently touched Aldrich's sleeping face, the scattered blankets and askew pillow under his head showed he had a very uncomfortable night. With the room finally peaceful, Aldrich felt like he could stay asleep for years to come, but his bliss ended when his roommate woke him up by calling,
"Aldine!"
Aldrich ignored him and pulled his blanket over his head to block him out, the knight grabbed a corner of it and pulled it away effectively waking him up,
"What!!" Aldrich yelled in a sour manner, the knight threw the blanket at him and said,
"The sun's risen, you should be getting ready boy. You know sir Galleon once told me a good knight makes the most out of each day." Aldrich narrowed his eyes in a twist of confusion and rage, he threw his hands in the air and bawled,
"Who the hell is sir Galleon?!!" The knight looked to Aldrich in shock as if expecting him to know already.
"Who is sir Galleon?" He said rhetorically, "Why he is only the best knight of our time. You know he and I once set out to slay a borsak." Aldrich groaned in frustration massaging his furrowed brows as he did so.
"I find it hard that the likes of you killed a borsak." He said flatly.
"Well we didn't, but you wouldn't believe how close we got." Aldrich clenched his pillow against his face as hard as he could trying not to hit him, "Now the king of Azrynn would not like you sleeping in so, up you get." the knight added. Aldrich began to put on his armour as he muttered through his clenched teeth.
"Says the whistling oaf who kept me up all night."
As Aldrich left the room feeling crankier than ever, he noticed two other knights from the room next to his snickering at him. He wondered how he didn't notice a set of identical twins in their midst, and although they wore their armour, Aldrich could tell neither of them had a large physique like the other Damian knight he shared a room with. They both had straight black hair and piercing blue eyes right above small freckles.
"I see you spent the night with whistling Willy." One of them said to Aldrich,
"It was so loud; how did you sleep last night?"
The second one approached him and said with a smile on his face, "The best thing about the chambers of Azrynn is, it has thick walls." they both continued laughing at him,
"It's not funny." Aldrich said,
"Well not for you it isn't." they both began to leave patting Aldrich on the shoulder as they passed by him one of them said over his shoulder, "sorry Armin."
"My name is Aldrich!!!" he yelled out of frustration.
Evelyn and Lydia stood in the main hall with two other knights awaiting the others when a short rotund man wearing a lustrous suit of armour with a purple cape embroiled with golden thread and an ornate golden crown entered the room. Lydia and the others knelt on one knee as the king of Azrynn passed by them and took his seat on the throne.
"Well if it isn't the devils spawn herself." the king said merrily with his eyes fixed on Lydia, "Last time you were here you took it upon yourself to show off my best archers."
Lydia looked up with a small grin on her face, "I was just bored at the time." They all got back on their feet as Lydia continued, "Your majesty we have come from Dameran in search of clues on how we can kill the beast."
"I will show you where the beast attacked but I must warn you, do not think it is like anything you have ever faced before." He said importantly.
"We realize its potential threat."
