1 || Love at First Sight

School had just begun. It was 8:30 in the morning and it was the first day back to school after the summer. And Chifuyu was already late. He didnt care though, he was always late. Once he had gotten to school, he went to class, and sat down. After class was over, his friends all came over to him.

"Yo, Chifuyu! Didnt you hear? Some kid in class 3 got held back a year! He must be some badass delinquent!" Exclaimed one guy. Chifuyu sighed, and slammed his hands on his desk.

"Lets beat his ass before he acts like he owns the place!" Announced Chifuyu, getting up from his seat.

Chifuyu then walks to class 3, and opens the sliding door just enough so he can peak in, then he opens it fully. Someone in the class notices him, and got scared.

Chifuyu was only 12, and he was a feared delinquent in his school. No one could or would mess with him. Not even the upperclassmen.

The kid at the door instantly started shaking, wondering what THE Chifuyu Matsuno was doing at his class.

"Which one of you is Baji Keisuke?" Chifuyu spoke. The guy turned around and pointed at someone. "Huh?! Thats him?" Chifuyu questioned. The guy had black, slick back hair and glasses on, and he looked like a total nerd.

He looked at the guy who pointed at him, "thats him?" Chifuyu asked. "Yeah." He responded. "The four eyes with the slicked-back hair?" Chifuyu asked again. "Yeah." Chifuyu was confused, "how the hell did that guy get held back?" He wondered. Then all his friends chipped in.

"I bet 100 yen that he was being used as an errand boy and stopped coming to school!" One guy says, while holding a soda can.

"100 on hes too much of a shut-in" the next guy said, holding a jacket around his head.

"100 yen on he said 'who needs school?' And stopped coming!" Said the third guy.

Chifuyu figured that he was just wasting his time. He sighed, "Give me a break" he said as he turned around, but stopped and looked back at him one last time, then walked away.

It was now the end of the school day, and Chifuyu couldn't stop thinking about that nerd from class 3. So, Chifuyu went back to class 3, just to check. And it turns out that the nerd was indeed still there, and still writing something. Except he wasn't alone this time, there was someone with him. She had beautiful shoulder length black hair with bright (e/c) eyes. Once Chifuyu saw her, he immediately started getting a little nervous, his cheeks turning a little bit red. He has never felt this way before, he's never paid attention to any girls before, all he cares about is delinquency.

Chifuyu gulped, and calmed himself down before he proceeded to enter the classroom, and pulled out a chair in front of the nerds desk, and sat in it.

"Huh? Who're you?" The nerd said, looking right at Chifuyu. The girl with him also looked at Chifuyu with a confused face. "Matsuno Chifuyu, from class 1. Whats this supposed to be?" He asked, as he pointed to a word on the nerds paper. The nerd looks down at wheres hes pointing, and responds, "Tora" (Tiger). "Its wrong" Chifuyu says, while looking at him. The girl let out a small giggle, "See, I told you Kei." She made sure to rub it in that she was right.

Chifuyu watches the nerd freak out over it. "No way! What? That's so weird..." as he is scrambling through his book, he finds out that Chifuyu, and the girl, are indeed right. The nerd let out a sigh. "Why the hell are you dressed like that when you can't even write 'tiger'?" Chifuyu commented, making the girl next to the nerd giggle again. "I told you that the look you have going on is stupid, its not gonna make you any smarter." She exclaimed, earning a small laugh from Chifuyu. Chifuyu then took his pencil and wrote down how to correctly write 'tiger' on his page.

"Ah, so that's how you write it then.." The nerd whispered, just loud enough for Chifuyu and the girl to hear. The girl turns to Chifuyu, "Matsuno, right? Im Baji (y/n), but you can call me (y/n)." She said, as she held out her hand with a slight smile on her face. Chifuyu stared at her smile for a moment, thinking about how her smile is just so.. sweet. Then he snapped out of it, and took her hand and they shook hands, formally introducing themselves.

"Im Baji Keisuke, thanks for the help." The nerd said while still writing on his paper. "Wait so back to my question from before, why are you dressed like that?" Chifuyu asked baji, still confused. Baji lowered his glasses and gave Chifuyu a serious stare, "I cant get held back again, it'd make my mom cry." Chifuyu giggled at him, "So serious." Chifuyu replied.

"So, what's that you've been writing?" Chifuyu wondered, trying to see more of what he has written on his paper. Baji slowly looked away, somewhat embarrassed. before he could respond, (y/n) cut him off. "He's writing a letter to somebody." She said while looking at Chifuyu. Baji continued to look away. "No way! you have a pen pal?!" Chifuyu yelled, while Baji's face just got more red from embarrassment. "S-shut up! It's none of your damn business! Ill murder you!" Baji yelled back at him, (y/n) just sat there and laughed at the two bickering at each other. "Wow, foul mouth" exclaimed Chifuyu, earning another "Shut up!" From Baji.

After a while of the three of them talking, Chifuyu ended up leaving to go home, and on his way home, he couldn't stop thinking about those two people he met. The one he kept thinking about more though, was no one other than (y/n).
