The bowler whose ball had hit Ishan, was definitely not happy. It extremely satisfied Shubman to a great extent.

It was now 445 all out.

......

As soon as Shubman returned to the dressing room, he kept his bat and practically rushed to the medical room.

"You did grea— areh...?" Surya bhaiya said as he was about to compliment Shubman who ran out of the room.

Shubman walked through a long hallway. Panting badly. He didn't even have a sip of water but rushed in that direction where Ishan would be there.

His steps were huge and it was more than evident that if any people got in front of him, they would go away flying.

He slowly halted in front of the room where Ishan was there.

"Ishan?" Shubman asked in a concerned tone as he swung open the door.

Ishan, who was lightly holding his head with one hand, stood up. Hearing Shubman's voice surprised him to a great extent.

Their eyes met.

As soon as Ishan stood up, Shubman practically ran towards him and held his head in his hand.

"Shub—" Ishan slightly gasped.

"Let me see." Shubman said in his usual stern voice and very gently observed the other's bruise.

"I-I am f-fine..." Ishan said as he gasped again softly.

Shubman didn't move an inch away.

He softly traced his thumb over the bruised area which was now bandaged.

Seeing Shubman so concerned, Ishan felt soft butterflies in his stomach and he looked to his side to avoid any eye contact.

'The heck....'  Ishan thought as he bit his lower lip.
