I slowly opened my eyes to find Aravind sleeping beside me. I frowned, realizing I was in his room, not mine. Why did he bring me here? I didn't want him to pity me. Silently, I got up, went out, took our lunch boxes, heated our lunch, and set it on the table. The IV had helped reduce my fever. I swept the house and went to take a bath. Coming back wrapped in a towel, I opened my room door, knowing it was him. I didn't mind. I took out my clothes from the cupboard, and suddenly, he hugged me from behind.
"See, Aravind, you don't have to pity me. I understand how you feel. Just wait until I join college, and I'll leave not to trouble you anymore."
He released me and stepped back. I turned to see him glaring at me, his eyes bloodshot with anger. He closed his eyes, calming himself down.
"See, Chaaru, I'm sorry. I made a huge mistake. I thought you needed time to adjust, so I kept my distance. I should have talked to you, but I couldn't stand seeing the pain in your eyes. Everytime I see you I just wanted to kiss you and take away all your pain but I controlled myself. I thought I was doing the right thing, but I was wrong. I'm sorry. Don't ever talk about leaving me. Do you think I can live without you?" He kneeled down and begged.
I ran to him and hugged him tightly. "First of all, thank you, Aravind, for giving me the most peaceful days of my life. I haven't said anything, but I know you know. I never knew I could receive love until we started dating. Every day, it was enough for me to see you and be around you. Thank you. And I'm sorry, I won't talk about leaving again. You know I can't live without you either."
He pulled back and cupped my face, leaning in to kiss me. I stopped him, covering his mouth with my hand. His face fell, but I kissed my hand, which was still on his mouth.
He frowned, and I explained, "I have a fever. I don't want you to miss classes because of me."
He smiled and said, "I would love to stay with you."
I blushed. He kissed my forehead and said, "I missed two beautiful months. I'm not going to wait anymore. Let's start living our lives. First, I'm sorry for not talking things out with you. Second, thank you for moving in with me. We don't need anyone else. Let's create our own family, the family we've longed for, the family we missed, the family to love."
Ididn't think twice. I started kissing him passionately. He fought fordominance, and we nibbled each other's lips, trying to feel each other. It wasour first kiss. My towel loosened, and I gasped, giving him the chance toplunge his tongue into my mouth. He pulled me closer, and I fell on him as hefell backward. Not wanting to end our kiss, we continued until we were out of breath. We smiled wide as we pulled away. He kissed my nose, and I kissed his chin.
When I tried to stand up, my towel fell off. I gasped, and he chuckled, closing his eyes, trying to be a gentleman. I pulled the duvet from the bed and covered myself. I threw the towel at his face. He opened his eyes, took the towel, and I ran into his room to change my clothes. Standing in front of the mirror, I was a blushing mess. His words rang in my head. Family. Yes, our family. I smiled, got into my pajamas, and opened the door.
