"Not one of those clubs again?" Lucy groaned, remembering many drunken mistakes where she had wandered into a neighbouring Homebase store.
"Nope, a gig to be exact." I waited as her expression changed in realisation.
"Not, it, wait, no, what? They invited you?" She blinked stupidly as she rung up a customers purchase.
Would love to Niall, what time? A xx
I stealthily replied, biting back a giggle as I noticed the name Niall had put his contact under.
The one you can't help but fall on.
How inventive, I thought as another text buzzed through on my phone.
No wonder Niall's grinning so much, he 'forgot' to give us your number. Cheeky leprechaun. Liam x
I laughed, saving Liam's number as I imagined the chaos that was ensuing back at the boy's apparetment.
We'll send someone to meet you N xx
I quickly replied with my address, a faint smile flickering on my face.
"Who you texting?" A girl suddenly asked, peeking out from behind a sale rack.
"A new friend." I grinned, flicking a few items back into the right order.
"Looks like more than a friend." She winked, wiggling her eyebrows.
"I only met him today, besides he's a popular guy, he could have any girl he wanted." I looked over the rail at the girl, pausing to hand her a selection of clothes.
"MM good choice. But he did ask for your number and text you first, am I right?" She replied, a smirk on her face as she made her way to the dressing rooms.
Slowly the store got a little busier as everyone began to filter through. Another text made me jump and I looked around to check Lucy didn't see me texting on the job.
Niall thought he could keep you to himself, silly Leprechaun. Friends always share ;) Harry x
I saved Harry's number, resisting the urge to roll my eyes at his atrocious humour.
Oh Harry I'm falling for your pick up lines already. Stick to singing sunshine, it suits you better.
I replied with a malevolent grin, reverting to my job as I turned my phone of, knowing I'd soon be bombarded with texts.
"Anything I can help you with?" I said with a smile as a younger girl walked into the shop, trailing her friends behind her.
"No." She sneered, looking me up and down before flouncing away.
"Okay then." I muttered, shooting her a 'polite' hand gesture as she browsed a rack of tops.
"I think Louis would totally go for this." She said, pulling out a top that barely classed as a belt, her friends nodded with faint looks of annoyance as I held back laughter.
"He'll notice me tonight, I know it." She said, overly cocky as she moved onto another rail of clothes.
"Ava." Lucy called, dragging my attention away from the girl as I gulped and walked towards the counter.
"This girl needs a hand, then I want you home by one. It would appear you have a very important date this evening." She winked, pushing a girl around my age towards me.
"Thanks Lucy, be at mine for six." I waved, guiding the girl to a rack in her size.
"Any special occasion?" I asked politely, smiling as I tried not to listen to the 'future Mrs Tomlinson' and her followers.
