As soon as we enter the dojo. I see her... And I am horrified. Kim is lying on the floor, she's barely conscious. Bruises and cuts were taking over her whole body, you could barely see her skin. The gash on her forehead was bigger. All I could see was red.
"She needs to go to the hospital. She has a lot of blood loss." Milton explains.
"Ty! Let her go!" I yell.
"Fine, she's all yours," Ty says, unlocking her chains. "I've had so much fun! And I'm super excited to send the video to Ratface after this useless piece of crap is out of here."
"Wow, this was easier than I thought! We didn't even have to fight anybody!" Jerry says happily."
Ty takes off Kim's shock bracelet just when he does the unthinkable. He walks over to a ladder and climbs it until his head reaches the top of the ceiling. He then takes a big leap and lands brutally on Kim's leg.
"NO!!" The three of us shout. But us yelling is nothing compared to how Kim did. She let out the biggest scream ever. Tears were pouring down her face as she was clutching her leg in pain.
We run over to her in fear.
"We have to get her to a hospital now!" I say franticly.
"Her pulse is weak." Milton trembles. Jerry calls 911 as Milton and I try to calm Kim down. Her panicking will just make things worse. But at least when the ambulance and the police get here they'll handle Ty and the black dragons for us.
"Wait a minute, you didn't call the police here did you??" Ty says, his face filled with worry."
"He's still dumb..." Milton says shaking his head.
"Jack," Kim whispers. "Everything hurts."
"I know, you're going to be ok. Ty is going to jail. I can tell she's hurting, but she's fighting. I immediately press my lips against hers, she's in pain but she kisses back. I pull apart quickly though, because one, everyone's watching, and two, she needs to save up her oxygen.
After 10 minutes police and paramedics come rushing in the dojo.
"She's over here!" Jerry calls out. "And he's over there." He points to Ty.
"No, no! I didn't do anything! My mom's going to give me a time-out!" Ty wails, as the police pull him out of the dojo. The paramedics scooped Kim up and put her on the stretcher.
"Jack, go with her. We'll meet you at the hospital." Jerry tells me.
"Thanks, bud," I reply. I take a seat next to Kim. She has an oxygen mask on. And she's unconscious, I stroke her hair. I can't imagine what she's gone through. I suddenly feel the need I have to protect her.
Milton, Rudy, Jerry, and I are sitting at Kim's bedside when Rudy walks into the room. He flinches when he sees her unconscious body.
"How is she?" Rudy asks.
"Not good." The doctor replies. She has had a lot of injuries, suffered major blood loss, and her leg is broken. But we have made this special boot that she can walk in, so she won't be needing any crutches. She may limp slightly for the first couple of days, but soon she will get used to it."
I sigh.
"So when will she be discharged?" I ask.
"Well, perhaps at the end of the week." The doctor answers. "But I'm afraid you can't visit her until she comes home."
"What why?!" Jerry chokes. That is classified information which I can't tell you all. But trust me, this week will go by faster than you think!" He writes some things down on his clipboard and leaves the room.
"Great, now we have to spend even more days without her." Milton sighs. I kiss the top of her forehead and signal the guys to exit the room.
This is officially going to be the longest week of my life.
