"I don't know, they seem cute together." Mina tilted her head as she commented, bringing her glass to her lips to take another sip of her drink.

"Nah, personally, I think Ochaco deserves someone better." Kyoka shook her head lightly in protest, sighing as she disapproved of the topic we were talking about.

I only chuckled and glanced at both of them-that were on each of my sides-as they gave their comments. So obvious that they're each standing on different sides of the coin. I decided to only observe, keeping my thoughts only to myself to avoid a potential argument.

Ever since I was a kid, I was never the one to openly discuss my feelings; I was always the listener and never the talker, and I quite enjoy that.

Mina and Kyoka's continuous ramblings had soon become dull as my ears fixated on the song-playing loudly in the background-instead.

Currently, Mina, Kyoka, and I were at a nearby club to celebrate my return here in Japan. A few years ago, I migrated to the U.S and started working there due to personal reasons. Since then, I was only able to communicate with my friends here in Japan through calls or video chats.

But, since they're very dear to me, those weren't enough. So, I was very delighted to accept when I got an offer to partake in a mission that involved coming back here in my home country.

However, the contract was set only for a few weeks.

Both of them proceeded to give insights about Ochaco's new love life. Turns out, while I was away, Izuku and her parted ways due to some unknown complications. I tried persuading her to talk to me because I know she was troubled deep inside when I returned, but she just kept saying that she was okay and what happened was for the best.

I doubted that.

Knowing about their situation had led me to think back to the times when I was in their shoes. Although it doesn't hurt me anymore and I was certain enough that I've moved on completely, I couldn't help but think of him.

Where has he been ever since I've left?

How has he been doing?

I found myself languidly twirling the glass of champagne I was holding with my fingers. Staring down at the glistening liquid as I succumbed in my thoughts.

Shoto. Has he thought of me?

Idiot. Why would he be doing that? After all, he was the one that pushed me away.

An evident flinch draped my body when Kyoka roughly set her glass down on the table, causing the other items to jolt around. I swung my head to look at her, brows creasing due to the sudden movement, "What?"

"Don't look, but..." Her dark eyes were a bit wide, and her lips sported a forced and nervous smile. "Look." Kyoka lifted her hand and slowly pointed at the direction of the club's entrance.
