Chapter 23

I woke up early in the morning after a night full of nightmares and sleep disturbance , but having Lexie reduced that because I feel safe when she sleeps next to me .

 she licks my face whenever I get stuck in an annoying nightmare and woke up thanks to her 

I got ready to leave the House. It was  a sunny day. I hope that it will pass peacefully without problems, especially since I have a meeting today evening at the headquarters, my work is from 8 AM to 6 PM , my working hours will increase as long as I work in the general surgery and emergency unit

I sighed as I walked then remembered that there was a car enthusiast meeting in the evening , Justin and I would participate in it ,it was enough to lift my spirits for the rest of the day. 

A noise coming from a construction site caught my attention, I was passing by , there was a group of people talking to the workers and threatening them, so I got curious and stopped to watch surreptitiously

"We have already warned you , this construction site belongs to us, we'll destroy what you have built" one of them said, holding the collar of one of the workers

"Go away, we don't have time for your gang games."

All attention was paid to the person who had just spoken, he was leaning on a chair, legs stretched out on a table and  his hands holding a construction planner, wearing black sunglasses and a helmet on his head, probably an engineer

"Shut up or I'll smash your face first ! Let's destroy the building ! "

That guy grabbed the tip of his glasses and took them off, put them on the table and then got up from his place taking off his helmet with one hand and passing the other hand between his locks of hair up, I was a little far away so his features didn't look clear but he looked very handsome

He walked a few steps forward towards the leader of that gang smiling

"Well, sorry. Protection first" he said, putting that helmet on his head

"Get away" he pushed him to get out of his way and then they spread out on the floors of the building

Do I  interfere...? No, there's no need .it doesn't matter to me. it's not my business..I walked a little and then my feet brought me back to the same place It's okay, I won't leave a trace.

"I.I'm going to call the police " one of the workers said, the engineer responded with a smile as he headed inside the building:

" no need for that," he said as he adjusted his jacket. " I'll take care of this."

Question marks were painted on their faces , so they just watched silently

Anyway, I had climbed and jumped from one place to another and reached the roof of that building, I started to go down to the floors by jumping from the edge and enter the floor from the outside in order to avoid the stairs inside for fear of encountering someone.
I took care of every member of that gang I came across on my way without them paying attention to my presence, so that they wouldn't even tell anyone that I was the one who did this to them after they regained consciousness.
