The morning sun filtered through your curtains, casting a warm glow across the room as you stirred awake. The events of the previous day played on a loop in your mind—discovering that the person you'd been talking to online for years was none other than Bakugou Katsuki. The realization was both thrilling and terrifying. You'd gotten to know him on a level most people hadn't, and yet you were still wrapping your head around the fact that the hotheaded, explosive Bakugou was the same person you'd shared so many late-night conversations with.

After getting ready, you headed down to the common area. As you entered, the usual morning chaos was in full swing, but your eyes immediately found Bakugou. He was in the middle of berating Kirishima and Kaminari, his voice loud and commanding as always.

"Are you two idiots completely useless, or what?" Bakugou snapped, his temper flaring up with every word. "I'm not carrying your asses through training today, so get it together!"

Kirishima chuckled, clearly used to Bakugou's outbursts. "Yeah, yeah, we got it, man. No need to blow a fuse."

Bakugou glared at him, his eyes blazing with irritation. "Tch, whatever."

As you moved further into the room, Bakugou's gaze caught yours, and for a brief moment, the fire in his eyes dimmed. His scowl softened, replaced by a smirk that sent your heart racing. You could feel his eyes on you, a private moment amidst the chaos, as if he was daring you to react.

Grabbing a coffee, you tried to ignore the way your hands shook slightly. When you turned back, Bakugou was leaning against the wall, arms crossed, watching you with that same infuriating smirk. It was as if he was waiting for you to acknowledge him, his usual arrogance tempered by something more playful—something meant just for you.

"Morning," you greeted, trying to keep your voice steady as you approached him.

"Morning," Bakugou replied, his voice dropping to a low murmur that only you could hear. The smirk on his lips widened as he took you in, his gaze lingering just a moment too long. "So, still alive after yesterday?"

You rolled your eyes, though your heart was pounding. "Barely. You?"

"Obviously," he scoffed, leaning in just slightly, his voice a conspiratorial whisper. "I'm not some weakling who gets rattled that easily."

Before you could respond, Kaminari appeared, effectively cutting the moment short. "Hey, Bakugou! We need to head to class soon. You coming?"

Bakugou's expression hardened in an instant, his fiery temper resurfacing. "Yeah, I'm coming! Don't rush me, dumbass."

Kaminari winced at Bakugou's tone, backing off quickly. You had to suppress a smile as you watched the exchange. The way Bakugou could flip between his explosive temper and the more controlled, cocky attitude he reserved for you was fascinating.

As the day went on, Bakugou's interactions with others remained as fiery as ever. He snapped at classmates during lectures, barked orders during training, and generally kept everyone at arm's length. But every time your paths crossed, that cocky smirk was back, his eyes locking onto yours with a look that made your pulse quicken.

By the time afternoon rolled around, you found yourself in the common area again, this time with a book in hand. You tried to focus on the words, but your mind kept drifting back to Bakugou. The way he looked at you, the way he smirked like he knew something you didn't—it was all so confusing. And yet, you couldn't help but be drawn to it.

Just as you were getting lost in thought, Bakugou plopped down next to you on the couch, startling you out of your reverie. The sudden proximity made your heart skip a beat.

"Lost in thought, princess?" he teased, his voice low and dripping with that infuriatingly cocky tone. He was close enough that you could feel the heat radiating off him, a subtle reminder of the fire that burned just beneath the surface.

You glared at him, though the effect was ruined by the smile tugging at your lips. "Don't call me that."

"Why not?" he shot back, leaning in just a little closer. His eyes held a challenge, daring you to push him away. "It suits you."

Before you could respond, Midoriya entered the room, glancing nervously at Bakugou. "Uh, Kacchan, we need to go over the strategy for tomorrow's training."

Bakugou's demeanor shifted instantly, his expression darkening. "I'll deal with you later, Deku," he growled, his voice icy. "Get lost."

Midoriya nodded quickly and made a hasty exit, clearly not wanting to test Bakugou's patience. Once he was gone, Bakugou turned back to you, his expression softening ever so slightly.

"So, what are you reading?" he asked, his tone casual, as if he hadn't just scared off one of his classmates.

You held up the book, showing him the cover. "Just something for class. Nothing exciting."

Bakugou scoffed. "You should be reading something that actually challenges you, not that boring crap."

"Maybe I like boring crap," you countered, a playful edge in your voice.

Bakugou rolled his eyes, but the smirk remained. "Tch. Whatever. Just don't get too lost in it. You'll need all your brain cells for training tomorrow."

The rest of the afternoon passed in a comfortable silence, punctuated by the occasional banter between you and Bakugou. Every now and then, his knee would brush against yours, a small, almost imperceptible touch that sent your thoughts spiraling. He didn't pull away, and neither did you. It was as if these subtle touches were a way for him to test the waters, to see how far he could push without crossing a line.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, Bakugou finally stood up, stretching out his muscles. "Guess I'll see you tomorrow," he said, his tone casual, but the smirk he gave you was anything but.

"Yeah, tomorrow," you replied, feeling that familiar mix of excitement and nerves. "Try not to blow a fuse before then."

"No promises," he shot back with a grin, before turning and heading out of the common area.

You watched him go, your mind swirling with thoughts and emotions. Things were changing between you and Bakugou, and for the first time in a long while, you didn't mind the unpredictability. But a part of you couldn't shake the feeling that this new dynamic was fragile—that it could all come crashing down if either of you pushed too hard or too fast.

As you settled back into the couch, your thoughts drifted to the early days of your friendship. Back then, you were just two kids playing video games, hiding behind usernames and avatars. You never could have imagined that the hotheaded boy you played with would turn out to be the same person who now made your heart race with just a smirk.

But here you were, and as much as you tried to play it cool, you knew that things were different now. The question was, where would this lead? And were you ready to face whatever came next?
