i'm valentine—val if you're nasty—and i've been diving into graphic design since late 2023. i started my journey with adobe express and canva, but i've since leveled up to procreate.
i adore the rococo era and i wanted to go a little out of my comfort zone for the theme of this portfolio as it is no where near my usual aesthetic, (an emo baddie, hence the title, ifykyk 🤭)
this book is where i'll be sharing graphics inspired by existing fics, fics that don't exist (yet), and when a book or fic gives me inspiration to make a graphic for it.
since i first started, i'd like to think i've improved a bit, and now i can whip up some pretty decent designs for myself and others.
remember, designing is supposed to be fun! don't stress about comparing yourself to people who've been at this longer than you—everyone starts somewhere.
oh, and just a heads up, this isn't a place to request graphics. please respect that, even though i know this might not get a ton of views or interaction. if you're interested in a cover design, check out my cover shop on my page, 'cyperpunk'. that's where i'm more likely to take requests. <3
