"You two were never supposed to meet, When marigold and another particle from another universe meet, It will cause the end of all of universes!"

"The only way for the apocalypse to not happen... is that you two have to die in this universe so that it will reset this universe and send Y/N back in her original universe where the umbrella academy is nothing but a TV show for entertainment and to honor our memory."

Reginald's voice ringed through Five and Y/N's heads as they looked up to meet each other's eyes.

Everyone gathered up and stood in a circle, the rest of the hargreeves siblings and Lila all stood out to let out the marigold in them while Y/N stood between Five and Lila.

Lila looked over to her and gave her a sad smile. "I'm sorry, kid... for everything." Lila mumbled out, tears prickling out of the corner of her eyes.

Y/N gulped, wiping the tears rolling down her cheeks. She hesitantly smiled back as they held eye contact for a bit.

She looked over to Five on the other side, He was looking down at her hand.

She swallowed her pride before reaching out her hand towards his. Five looked up in surprise. Y/N smiled and urged him to take her hand. He hesitates before holding her hand and intertwining their fingers with one another.

"I... I'm sorry, Y/N.."

"I'm sorry I pulled you into this messed up universe, I'm sorry you'll never get to be with your family again, I'm sorry for ever going to that subway and not even telling you at least, I'm sorry..." Five pleaded, squeezing her hand in return.

Y/N sighed, tiredly. As much as she loved him, could she ever look at him the same?

Y/N shakes her hand, looking away and breaking eye contact. "I'm sorry, Five... but I can't forgive you."

And that's when the waterworks broke out.

Five hesitantly nods, bringing his hand up to her cheek. With tears rolling down his cheeks, Y/N lets him wipe hers away. He caresses his thumb on her cheek, slowly wiping the tears away. Y/N also leans over and wipes his tears away with her thumb.

"Uh... Five?"

That's when the two noticed that the Ink was crawling up to their shoes.

"Let it take you." Five muttered out, not even taking his eyes off of her. If he was gonna have to die with his siblings to remove his memory of her then at least, the last memory he would have in this universe would be hers.

"I just wanna say, guys." Y/n muttered out to the others, breaking eye contact with Five. "Thank you for bringing me into your weirdass universe." Y/N grinned, with tears still running down her cheeks.

Everyone lets out a chuckle in response. "And thank you for letting me be in your weird family." Lila added, Everyone bursting into laughter before about to get wiped.

"No problem, you two." Luther spoke out, smiling at Y/N.

"I just wanna say as well." Klaus spoke. "I love you guys... mostly you, crazy." Klaus gestured out to Y/n, looking at her directly. Y/n lets out a tired chuckle before nodding.

Everyone said their goodbyes as the Ink was crawling up to their nook of their necks. Five looks beside Y/n, still holding her hand after it was covered by the ink.
