Deku had been crying for as long as he could remember, and he didn't think he would be stopping anytime soon. He had abandoned his wife, his newborn son, and Kacchan. He had given his son a powerful, but taxing quirk, and than died before he could teach him how to use it. He had sentanced his son to death, and with it, sentenced Ochako to watch the two people she loved most die young. He frowned when he noticed someone beside him.
"O-Ochako?"
"No Midoriya. She has a lot of life to live before she meets you here." Nana sighed, rubbing his back gently.
"Why are you here?" He whimpered "I'm a failure I-"
"I won't hear anymore of that." Nana said gently, "You saved the world from my failure."
"And than I made the same mistake. I abandoned my son."
"No. I abandoned my son." Nana huffed, "You died saving your best friend's life.""That's not what Kaz will think. He'll think I didn't care about him! That I didn't love him!" Deku whimpered, "But I did Nana! I loved him so much it hurt every time I left his side! I thought about him all the time! I-"
"I know, Izuku. Even if we weren't joined here, I know how I felt about my own son. I adored him. I told myself every day that he was the most important thing to me.. And he was even if he didn't see it."
Deku looked at her sadly, what they told themselves didn't matter.. It was how their children felt that mattered."How long has it been? How is Kaz doing?"
"He's doing fine. He's still a baby. He hasn't yet learned to crawl."Deku nodded sadly, "And my wife? Kacchan?"
"Kacchan took it hard. I have no way to know how your wife feels.. But Katsuki is worried about her. He stays with her every day. Makes sure she eats, even helps take care of the baby."Deku nodded "They're soulmates."
"That doesn't matter."
"It does." Deku sighed, it broke his heart, but he also didn't want Ochako to live the rest of her life alone."Why haven't I seen Allmight yet?"
"He's grieving too. He's also worried you wouldn't want to see him. He is the one who gave you this quirk."
Deku nodded sadly, "Do you think she knows?"
"Knows what?"
"That I'm sorry?"
"I think she does.""I miss her so much."
"I know you do."
"Even before I died I missed her!" Deku whimpered, "I never saw her! I was so excited to retire! To watch my son grow up!"
"I know. I'm sorry it ended this way. I really am. We all wanted you to be okay.""Will I get to see him again?"
"You will. When you're ready you will see the world through his eyes. When he's ready, he'll ask you for help with his quirk.""I thought that was specific to me."
"Kaz is your son. I-I think he'll at least be able to summon you."
Deku nodded his head sadly, it was more than most people got."What about Kacchan?
"I'm not sure if he can summon you, but his time wielding All For One does allow you access to him.""But I'll never see Ochako again."
"Not this part of you, but.. Part of you will."
"What does that mean?"
"I mean.. Right now, I'm here, and I'm with my son. Part of you stays here, but, part of you goes to the afterlife. You will see your wife again. Just not anytime soon."Deku nodded sadly "I suppose that's a good thing." He whimpered
"It is. Even if it doesn't seem like it now. Your son is going to have her."
Deku nodded sadly "Yeah. She's the best mom." He whimpered"She is." Nana murmured, wrapping an arm around him gently. "Your son is in good hands. Ochako Katsuki and Melissa are far from incompetent."
Deku sighed, he wanted to ask about his wife and her relationship with Katsuki, but he knew it wasn't his business. He shouldn't be hoping she was still missing him. He had told her to move on, and she deserved to. He sighed, it still hurt to think about.
"Ochako and Katsuki both love you" Nana murmured. "They aren't romantically involved."
"Yet." Deku sighed, "But it's fine. It is. I-I they're the best people I know. They deserve each other. I told her I wanted her to do whatever felt right.. If that means remarrying Kacchan that's okay."
"What if she remarries someone who isn't Katsuki?"
Deku frowned at that, he wouldn't trust anyone else with his little boy."Th-than that would.. be bad. That person wouldn't be her soulmate." Deku had prepared himself for Ochako marrying Kacchan. He had not prepared himself for her to marry someone else. What if she married someone who wasn't trustworthy? Someone who would hurt his son? He started to cry, he had no way to protect them.
"Kacchan won't let that happen."
"What do you mean, Izuku? Katsuki can't stop her, and I don't think he would try."
"He wouldn't let Kaz get hurt."
"Ochako won't let Kaz get hurt either." Nana said softly"How do you know. You're in Kacchan's head! Not hers."
Nana sighed, "I saw her through your eyes, Deku, I've also seen her through Katsuki's Toshinori's and now I see her through the eyes of your son. So really, I know her better than any of you. She's not going to hurt her son for personal gain. She's certainly not going to disgrace One For All for her own personal gain."
Deku nodded sadly, he felt bad for implying she would. Of course she wouldn't let anything happen to their little boy, he was her entire world. He sighed"I know." He sighed, "I just.."
"You're worried about your family. Of course you are. We all were."
Deku nodded sadly "I-I want to see Allmight." He murmuredShe nodded "I'll see if he's ready to see you."
Deku nodded "Okay."
