Third Person PoV
----
4th March'24
The sun hung high in the sky, casting a warm glow over the hospital grounds as Prashmita and Somvrat walked side by side toward the mess. The afternoon air was filled with the sounds of birds chirping, and the slight breeze brought a touch of coolness to the otherwise warm March day. Their steps were relaxed, the weight of the recent shift slowly lifting from their shoulders.
Somvrat, with a mischievous glint in his eye, nudged Prashmita playfully. "So, Prash, did you notice how Devrudra couldn't take his eyes off you during the discussion yesterday?" he teased, his voice dripping with mock curiosity.
Prashmita, who had been quietly enjoying the peaceful walk, shot him a side glance. Her expression was a mix of mild annoyance and indifference. "Somvrat, I really don't care about who looks at me or why," she replied flatly, her tone firm but not unkind.
Unfazed by her lack of enthusiasm, Somvrat continued, clearly enjoying the chance to tease her. "Come on, you've got to admit it's a little flattering! The guy was practically glued to you the entire time."
Prashmita sighed, her patience wearing thin. "Honestly, Somvrat, I have bigger things to worry about than someone staring at me. Devrudra can look wherever he wants; it doesn't mean anything to me."
Somvrat chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. "You're too serious, Prash. You know, a little attention now and then isn't a bad thing."
She stopped walking and turned to face him, her expression softening slightly but still resolute. "Maybe for you, Somvrat. But I'm not interested in Devrudra, or anyone else, for that matter. I've got my priorities, and right now, they don't include dealing with unwanted attention."
Somvrat raised his hands in mock surrender, grinning widely. "Alright, alright, I get it. I'll drop it. But you can't blame me for trying to add a little fun to our day."
Prashmita shook her head, a small smile finally breaking through her serious demeanor. "Just stick to teasing me about things that matter next time, okay?"
With that, they resumed their walk, the mess hall now in sight. The tension from the conversation melted away as they approached the entrance, the familiar sounds of clattering plates and lively chatter welcoming them. Despite Somvrat's playful nature, he respected Prashmita's boundaries, and the topic of Devrudra was left behind as they stepped inside to enjoy a well-deserved meal.
As they entered the mess hall, the aroma of freshly prepared food filled the air, and the chatter of their colleagues provided a comforting backdrop. Prashmita grabbed a tray and began to serve herself, her movements efficient and practiced. Somvrat followed suit, but his mind was still on their conversation.
As they settled down at a corner table, away from the noisier groups, Somvrat leaned forward slightly, his tone shifting from playful to genuinely curious. "So, Prash, how's your individual project coming along? You've been pretty dedicated about it."
