I'm in the school garden. I've always felt a comforting feeling there, watering the plants, watching the bees and butterflies fly amongst the flowers. It's so calm. It's like nothing else exists. I love it so much that i I volunteered to maintain it on weekends. It's a place where it's just me and my thoughts, and it's like nobody else exi-
"Hi tomioka!!"
"Hi, kocho." I say, putting the watering can down.
"Are you free tonight around 9:30? Tengen's throwing another party In his dorm!" She says, walking towards me.
"Oh... I don't usually go to his parties-" I start.
"Oh c'mon, Giyu! They're fun!" She grins, but then her face falls. "Uhhhh... I mean, they are fun until Tengen gets drunk. That ended badly last time... Did you hear?"
"No... Do I want to?" I ask, raising an eyebrow. Tengen getting drunk doesn't sound like something that would end in a kid-friendly way. Well, I mean, getting drunk is already non- kid friendly enough. I wouldn't let my kids near Tengen. He's a pretty bad influence. I mean, if I had kids. Why am I thinking about kids so much??
"Ehh...You probably don't." She says, wincing. "But he promised that it wouldn't happen again! C'mon, you never do anything fun anymore!"
I sigh. "Fine. But I'll probably leave early. I'm not a huge fan of parties..." I say.
"You're so lame, dude! No wonder you have no friends, you hardly ever leave your dorm room, and when you do, it's to come here!" She sighs. "it's fine. Just try to stay at the party as long as you can, ok?" She says, and skips off.
that hurt. Her constantly telling me I have no friends hurts more than it should, because I know it's true. I know she's just teasing me, but I thought we were friends, and when she says that I feel like I have nobody to go to anymore.
Also, it's Monday tomorrow, why the fuck is Tengen throwing a party??
I sigh and finish watering the calendulas.
I REALLY don't want to go to that party.
