The villagers, feeling a sense of imminent danger, hurriedly closed every door and window, securing their homes against the coming chaos. They gathered together in their modest two-story house, with the living room and kitchen downstairs, and the bathroom and sleeping rooms upstairs.
The grand hall of Lothaven's castle is abuzz with activity. Soldiers and strategists bustle about, preparing for the impending invasion from the North. At the head of a long table sits Arthur, his expression steely and focused.
Scene 1: The Lothaven Castle War Room
Arthur: [Firmly] "We must be ready for the North's attack. Our scouts have confirmed that their forces are mobilizing. They'll be here in less than a month."
Ane: [Entering with Elizabet, Eliot, and Eudon] "You called for us, my lord?"
Arthur: [Nodding] "Yes. I need every available knight to fortify our defenses. Elizabet, Ane, Eliot, Eudon—your skills and knowledge of the land will be invaluable. I want you to assist in preparing the defenses and rallying any remaining forces."
Elizabet: [Determined] "We'll do everything in our power to protect Lothaven."
Elizabet, tall and striking with her newly short dark hair and piercing blue eyes, stands with a commanding presence. Her athletic build reflects her readiness for battle.
Arthur: [With a hint of a smirk] "See to it that you do. The North Kingdom is not to be underestimated. They have a powerful queen and a formidable army."
Ane: [Nodding, with her slender build and determined green eyes] "We won't let you down."
Eliot: [Pragmatic, with his rugged appearance and brown beard] "We'll ensure that the defenses are solid and the people are prepared."
Eudon: [With his messy reddish hair and earnest blue eyes] "We'll get to work immediately."
The group exchanges determined glances, each prepared to play their part in the defense of Lothaven.
Scene 2: The Dungeons
Deep within Lothaven's dungeons, Michael is chained to a cold stone wall, his clothes tattered and dirty. His face is grim, a reflection of his dire circumstances. The clinking of keys and the heavy creak of the dungeon door signal someone's arrival.
Natalie: [Entering with a look of disdain] "So, this is where the mighty Michael ends up. A pathetic sight indeed."
Michael: [Looking up with a mix of anger and defiance] "Natalie. What are you doing here?"
Natalie: [Scoffing] "I'm here to remind you of your failure. You and David both—weaklings who couldn't stand against Alesia. Your incompetence has jeopardized the safety of Lothaven."
Michael: [Clenching his fists] "You have no idea what you're talking about. We fought bravely."
Natalie: [Coldly] "Bravery doesn't matter when you lose. Arthur will make sure Lothaven rises again, but we can't rely on failures like you. You're a disgrace."
Michael: [Fury rising] "You think you're so much better, don't you?"
Natalie: [Turning to leave] "Better? I'm just more effective. Maybe if you had been, we wouldn't be in this mess."
Natalie leaves, and Michael's face contorts with anger. The harsh words fuel a growing hatred towards her. His mind churns with thoughts of revenge and escape.
