The racecourse was large, enough for six people to line up at the entrance.
The entire racecourse was circular, with the starting point of the racecourse being the end point. At the end point stood a neat row of targets, on which some arrows had been placed in a mess, and more arrows fell to the ground. The boy in charge of recording recorded each result in a book.
Each of the six female students taking the school exam had a horse. These horses were transferred by the light carriage commander Kong Liu. Each horse was new and docile, in order to ensure the safety of the ladies. After all, fierce horses are difficult to tame. If these female students fell, it would not be a small matter.
Jiang Li's horse was a dark brown horse, which looked as unremarkable as it looked. It was lowering its head to nibble on the rough skin on the ground. Jiang Li couldn't help but reach out and touch the horse's neck, which reminded her of the time when she and Xue Zhao were racing in Tongxiang.
Her action fell into the eyes of others, and they were puzzled. Someone said: "What is Miss Jiang doing? Doesn't she know how to ride a horse? Does she think she can get close to the horse?"
"What a joke, these horses are all from the light cavalry. It doesn't matter whether you get close to them or not, but Miss Jiang may really be a layman. Look at her movements, she is very unfamiliar."
Jiang Li couldn't hear the people outside talking, but just gently stroked the horse's head. The horse was stunned and didn't get close to Jiang Li.
Jiang Youyao on the side saw this scene and felt disdainful. She thought Jiang Li didn't know horsemanship at all, and she packed the quiver.
Jiang Yu'e also stared at Jiang Li, and was relieved to see that Jiang Li was no longer as skilled as she had been in the past. If Jiang Li was to shine again in the imperial court, Jiang Yu'e would be so jealous that she would want to destroy her immediately.
The big man holding the copper hammer hit the drum on the inspection field fiercely, and with a "clang", everyone began to prepare to get on the horse.
Meng Hongjin was the fastest to get on the horse. She stepped on the stirrup and turned over. Everyone only saw a touch of red in front of them, and saw that she was already sitting on the horse. They couldn't help but cheer and applaud.
Most of the noble ladies in Yanjing City are weak and not very good at imperial guard skills. Very few can do what Meng Hongjin does. Therefore, everyone naturally praised Meng Hongjin for such a beautiful move. Seeing that everyone outside cast admiring eyes on her, Meng Hongjin was proud, and even the gloomy haze that had arisen because Jiang Li surpassed her a few days ago was dissipated a lot.
The second person to mount the horse was Jiang Yu'e. Her movements were not as neat and tidy as Meng Hongjin's, and she was more disciplined. However, because of her petite and pitiful appearance, her movements on the horse made people feel pity.
The next one was Nie Xiaoshuang. She and Zhu Xin'er were on the horse at the same time. The two of them must have a good relationship on weekdays. Their movements on the horse were similar. Although they were not unique, they did not make any mistakes.
Then it was Jiang Youyao. Jiang Youyao smiled and then climbed on the horse. Because of her beautiful appearance and her beautiful smile, no one noticed her movements on the horse. However, the young gentlemen were very fond of her and all stared at her.
Kong Liu looked down on this and muttered to Zheng Huchen beside him: "Embroidered pillow."
Zheng Huchen did not say anything. Ji Heng leaned against the back of the chair and looked at the movements of these noble ladies absent-mindedly.
