Selfish

Am I not enough?

Whenever we're doing shopping I take things from your bag so you would've it lighter.

Whenever you're sad, I make a joke to make your day brighter.

When we're eating I always give you a little bit more of mine.

If you ever asked me, I'd give you my last dime.

I always worry about you, ask you if you're alright.

But it's still not enough for you, right?

I carry your thirst, taking extra water with care

To make sure you're never parched, whatever the weather.

But your cold eyes, filled with doubt, make me despair,

Calling me selfish, when all I offer is fair.
