Blue and Purple: The Origins of Kyuka and Ruta

So... where should I start?

My name is Kyuka, and I am a Saiyan. I live on Earth with my best friend, another Saiyan named Ruta. We were the only female full blooded Saiyans who escaped the destruction of our home, Planet Vegeta. When we lived there, we were only 16 and 17. We designed custom armor for ourselves and the elites. Before our planet was obliterated by the tyrant Frieza, we decided to escape when he took over. Our pods kept us looking young as we traveled across the universe. We crash landed on Earth about 19 years later, so that technically makes us 35 and 36. But I digress.

We kept wearing our armor (in our favorite colors, blue for me and purple for her, respectively), until we stumbled upon the Capsule Corporation. Have you ever heard of them? They make tiny capsules that transform into random stuff. Oh, I'm getting ahead of myself again.

This woman named Bulma told us, if we want to survive in West City, we need to blend in with the civilians. So she gave us human names. I became Sophie and my best friend was known as Maya.

We started going out of the house more often, but that didn't work. People looked at us with disgust as we walked in our armor, especially in the summer, considering they had sleeves. They thought we were cosplaying when we had our tails out, so we used them as waistbands. A few weeks later, Bulma eventually lent us civilian clothes to wear.

We were too old for school, and too young to go into retirement. We'd learned fighting and defense from our parents on our home planet, but nobody else taught us anything.

So what's my story? And what's Maya's story? And how did we eventually team up with the most famous Saiyans of all time? I'll tell you, but you'll need a little preparation first...
