The next morning, the barn is woken up with loud noises of a heated argument happening below Jade. Blaze'light and Nash had their own problems, but this was worse. She had found sanctuary with the territory misfits yet there was already chaos surrounding Red'fang and Dani. It had given her a brief flashback about her own parents from how loud their voices were. It made her heartbeat when she hears those words of what felt like a failing relationship.

"You haven't told me that you loved me in many moons, and you think I'm the reason we're failing?" Dani stood there, trying to reconcile what was burning between them. A barrier that caused the argument. Red'fang stares into the wall, ignoring her pleading. "There's bigger problems than just being lovebirds. You think the world revolves around you." His voice is laced with venom, as his red eyes glare at Dani. His tail lashing when hearing the words of what Dani had to say, and they stung. "What problems? You never address them!" The she-cat snaps at him, her eyes filling up with tears and her expression turning into frustration. "You're always running, you never stand up to Stone'star like the coward you are!"

"Oh, I'm a coward." Red'fang rolls his head, now facing towards the wall again, dismissing her. "I'm a coward for keeping us protected and never initiate wars with clans that are bigger than us? You think everything happened to me was a choice?"

"Well, River'lily seems to fit that description! She can barely keep her mate away from me!" Dani roared, her words now causing Red'fang to stop when there were flashbacks to their younger years. His stupidity of what ruined a perfect relationship. He was speechless that he only looks at Dani with a broken-heart, and somewhat hatred to that memory of his own doing. Seeing that this argument wasn't going everywhere, he then walks away with silence. His eyes giving daggers at her as he walks into the fog, Dani solemnly watches him fade away into nothing.

Jade, appalled by this, clearly didn't know what to think. Her eyes darted at Red'fang leaving the barn, should she try and comfort him?

Hearing the skies rumbling above her, and drops of rain starting up, she would leap from the second floor and to a crate as she chases Red'fang's tracks of mud. Dani was blinded with anger to see Jade running after her mate. She began to walk from the barn as well, going to the other way and never looking back.

Meanwhile, Jade found Red'fang continuing to walk as the rain drenches his fur, giving him the appearance of a mud beast roaming around. She uses her head to nudge his side, wanting him to stop. The loner turns around and stare at Jade, bewildered. Why did she care? None of this didn't rely on her, she was only there for safety, and not actually building a relationship with all the other cats of the barn. "What?" Red'fang stood there, glaring annoyingly at her. "What's up to you?" Jade responded in a low, casual tone. "Your voices interrupted my sleep."

He went from irritation to softening his rude demeanor. "This is normal." Red'fang responds, the storm cracking in the background. "We'll take it outside if that's what you want."

"No." She shakes her head, now sitting down. The she-cat could care less if she had mud stained on her gray fur. "You seem to be in need of some help. What-... she said back there was... interesting." She says, her eyes now focusing on Red'fang, and studying him. The tom was beginning to be dismissive about it, his expression growing bitter at the thought. But he couldn't simply deny the fact that he, and River'lily used to be a thing. "I hate the fact that she's right." He says, now wanting to stare at Jade with a hint of truth to his words. "I messed up." He lowers his head, the sympathy showing on the she-cat's face. However, she never believed that was true. "So did Ember'star, yet he didn't feel guilty about it." Jade rolls her eyes, the rain trickling on her fur. "But you on the other hand, I can see a change. You're just afraid to express it."

"What makes you think that?" Red'fang asks her. "I was doomed from the spot the moment the crazy kitty became my mother, and a pompous jerk of a father. He had always been under Stone'star's paws, and now I'm the one to deal with it. Everything that happened in my life was all my own doing." He looks to the side, seemingly afraid to stare into her eyes. "I don't believe that." Jade shakes her head, her voice now stern and somewhat commanding. "Whatever happened in the past wasn't your fault, but to the present and future, it is different. You can always try again. Make it your destiny to fix what was broken."

Though, he was still unsure if he was able to do so. He hated seeing himself hurt the ones who were there for him, the ego that got ahold of his relationship and shred it all to pieces. There was no one to blame but himself. "Should I go and apologize to her?" Red'fang asks, his voice cracked as if he was desperate to make things right. Jade sighs, now staring up to the dark clouds above them, the rain wetting her face. "Apologize to everyone." She responded. "If they don't accept it, that's just that."

The storms became angrier as time passes. This was raising Red'fang's concern as he looks up to the clouds, with the wind moving intensely and trees creaking from side to side. "We better get going or we'll get squashed!" The tom stood up before nudging Jade to run off before following behind.

The two makes it to the entrance of the barn, where he thought Dani to be there, waiting.

But to his surprise, she was long gone and only saw Blaze'light and Nash there.
