The next morning, something had happened.
A prophecy from had spread through multiple dreams of fellow medicine cats.
Primrose'Dawn of SaguaroClan, Conch'song of BeachClan, and Ivory'hiss of CavernClan.
Ignorance, leading up to chaos, and the coldness freezing the clans in place of chaos to spread. It was also added that a sun will rise against the coldness, and melting away the chaos, and refurbishing into new power for the just. But what clan cats believed is the end times, the consumption of the cold darkness will destroy what is left of the cats. They will need to find a new light to fight against it.
Ice'star wasn't going to let that happen, no... no, no, he isn't going to put his clan into danger of incoming darkness, and that is what made him a great leader, to most. He had always put his clan first than anything. Or maybe he was doing that in other reasons for his own needs.
Today, he wanted to have a private meeting with Ember'star. He had his own patrol with him and his son, traveling to SaguaroClan's camp. There was uncertainty in Glacier'watcher's face. He felt a sense of evil traveling from within. The whispers of StarClan telling him to beware the cold. But he had to ignore. There were bigger things than a prophecy. Ice'star notices his son's look on his face.
"You're awfully quiet." The leader spoke to his son as he walked.
"It's nothing, Father." Glacier'watcher turned his head, ignoring the eyes of his father, silently judging him. "Do not turn your face. That's what liars do." The leader growled. "You're even lucky I've taken you with me on this journey." He eyes had a condescending look at his son, expecting better from him. "To do what? Go on a pointless meeting?" His son scoffed. Ice'star was trying his best not to knock some sense into him. "This is not pointless; our allies are dependent on us. That's a dream that you should have later on when I mark you as a leader."
Glacier'watcher rolled his eyes, Ice'star had put so much pressure that he could've chosen his own son than his own deputy. "What if I don't want to? What if I just live for my own destiny and find what purpose I have?"
Ice'star's face cringed. "What if you fail after going on a hopeless journey? You have your life given to you from StarClan's paws. Don't waste it." His eyes stared strictly at his son; his words were final. Glacier'watcher just moved his head down. He didn't want to risk arguing with his father. It was like arguing with a tree-length wall.
When the patrol finally reaches the mountains, they see the chaparral region and SaguaroClan's camp below the ledges. It was a large patrol full of strong warriors following him wherever he went to protect father and son.
Above the hill is a land of nothingness, filled with dirt, dried up grass, and little water. The chaparral region hasn't been lucky, and the clouds looked to be darker, darker than before, but nobody noticed. It was just a normal day in the sunless island territory. The cats of SaguaroClan had spotted the patrol of CavernClan in the distance. Most were judgmental of the whole ordeal, Ember'star needed help, desperate help.
"CavernClan is here!" A warrior named Scorch'teeth yowled, catching the attention of other warriors. The she-cat was intimidated by the size of patrol, both warriors, and most of the apprentices that went with their mentors. She was not agreeing with Ice'star's idea, but it wasn't her place to say no. Ember'star and his deputy, Cactus'bite, had overheard Scorch'teeth's cries and exited from their dens to greet CavernClan. Cactus'bite had no emotion other than a stare, but something had etched her mind that made Ice'star feel untrusted.
"Ember'star, SaguaroClan!" Ice'star yelled, others turning their head. The queens had stopped sharing tongues, the medicine cat stopped, and his eyes showed a scowl towards the leader and his own.
