MARI POV
8:00am
it was the morning after the thing between me and Ddot happend.
I was starting to feel a little bit guilty knowing that I didn't like him and that he probably liked me and I still lead him on like that.
"eva, eva, wake up dic" i said
"huh what oh im up.." she said in a sleepy voice
"you okay mh" i said
"yeah, what time is it?" she asked
"like 8 am" i told her
"oh shi it's so earlyy" she said
"your mum came back and she said when you wake up, please empty the dishwasher." her mum told me to remind her so i did
she finally got up and asked me "why was u awake so early??"
"i was just thinking about what happened yesterday" i told her
"dam it really got u thinking huh?" she asked
"something like that.." i said
"well, why don't you call the group chat and see if he answers?" she said
"that's actually not a bad idea" i thanked her
"aight im finna call itt"
I called the gc and almost instantly Jay joined
"hey girl" i said
"hii what's up why u calling ?" she asked
i remembered i hadn't yet told her about what happened, me and Jay used to be really close until she got with dd, when she got with dd he became her best friend.
"oh, I was just trying to find out what the plan is for today" i told her
"oh, i thought you guys already knew well edot is having a block party yall should definitely come through, but that's not until the evening but I guess we can go shopping before tht??
she asked me
"thx for telling me about the party, but I don't think I have enough cash to go shopping but imma definitely come through!!" i told her excitedly
i ended the call
i was disappointed that ddot didn't join so i decided to call him separately.
he answered thank god.
"hey ddot" i said
"wsp mh" he asked me
"listen, ddot I lowkey wanna to talk to you bout what happened yesterday. im on my own though, so don't worry no one's gonna hear you.."
"aight go ahed" he said
"i don't want you to think anything that's not true but ddot i'm not really sure, i like you like that yet."
he was quiet for a minute, so I got a bit worried
he came back and said
"yeah, i get you. you can't of heard all good things about me n my past relationships plus you're my best friend.
we both wasn't thinking straight and we shouldn't let that happen again word."
I was so relieved that he was so mature about it, the way everyone describing him I would've thought he would've like blocked me or something.
"okay, well, do you know about dots block party? i mean you prolly do. right?" i asked him
"yessir im finna be there do you want me to pick you up?"
I went on mute because I don't know what to say and I asked Eva.
"girl just say yes what's the worst that can happen ask if i can come too!!" she said clapping her hands
"aight aight" i chuckled
I came of mute and said
"yeah sure but can Eva come?"
"yeah yeah" he said
"listen i gotta dip now my abuela is making me set up her tv see u later mh" he said before ending the call
that was much easier than I thought it would be.
